Where To Apres Ski

NYC’s renowned restaurant and bar Dante has laid down roots in a new location in the St. Regis after an extraordinarily successful winter 2020 pop-up at the base of the Silver Queen gondola. The year-long residency can be found in the St. Regis’ Chef’s Club space.

For a bit more laid-back scene, head to J-Bar, which happens to be the perfect combination of world-class luxury and cozy mountain style. The restaurant and bar serve up cold-weather staples like burgers, and soups, complemented by a full bar offering drinks ranging from beers on draught to bespoke cocktails. Try the Aspen Crud, a boozy milkshake that dates back to Prohibition days.

Aspen Was Absolutely Beautiful

Aspen was absolutely beautiful. 100% worth going. Everything is very clean. All the staff we came across were very friendly and helpful. The town provides bus service to several places for free which is great. They also provide a free taxi service that travels inside the city for free. Makes it awesome for your short trips so you aren’t constantly having to deal with parking or trying to GPS everywhere with the amount of pedestrians. The gondola was an amazing adventure also. EVERYTHING in town is very pricey so be prepared for some expensive meal tickets.

Paradise has been Aspens source for fresh confection for over 40 years. But their oft-overlooked hot beverages are equally praiseworthy. Espresso and chai latte are standouts, as is the house coffeea blend of light and dark roast, well-balanced and brewed throughout the day.

Top 5 Best Places To Visit In Aspen, Colorado

We came in the fall and stayed three nights. We visited Maroon Bells, Kebler Pass, took the Silver Queen Gondola to the top of the mountain for the fantastic view. We even took Dean’ Ghost tour one evening. Also, we visited John Denver’s Sanctuary, which is worthwhile. Wish we had one more day to shop and explore the town and beautiful architecture. Aspen Travel Guide â Where to Next

On June 1, 2020, in the midst of the global pandemic, my fiancée and I decided to pick up our lives and travel the 1,971 miles from New York City to Aspen, Colorado. We packed just enough things to go for a month-long trip. That month turned into two, into six, into eight, and so on, until today. Because my friends, we’ve never left. It was a game-time decision that I’m grateful for every day.

Getting to call Aspen home during this truly unprecedented time is a blessing. Not only have we been able to dine in world-class restaurants and explore its gorgeous landscapes, but we’ve also gotten to know and understand the very tangible juxtaposition between the town’s present and its past.

Just steps away from shiny art galleries filled with chrome sculptures and neon lights, you’ll find a century-old western-wear shop selling locally sourced leather goods and indigenous fabrics. Venture a few hundred yards further, and you’ll stumble upon one of the best ski-in, ski-out apres-ski bars serving champagne and caviar to Hollywood starlets. A couple of steps more, and you could find yourself in a historic hotel bar drinking beer next to someone who looks vaguely like Kurt Russel and who most likely is Kurt Russel.

Aspen may be best known as a world-class ski town, but it’s also home to a culinary center featuring some of the hottest chefs around. It is both living history and future-forward utopian living at its best.

The Best Ski Hotels And Places To Stay In Aspen For Skiing

10 Best Places to Visit in Colorado – Travel Video

If youre wondering how to get to Aspen for skiing, your best bet is to fly into the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport. Its a regional airport that does have regular flights from Delta, United, and American Airlines, which makes it super convenient to get here. Your other options are Eagle County Regional Airport, which has fewer commercial flights, or Denver International Airport.

The Aspen airport is just minutes from Snowmass and there are non-stop flights from several major cities, so thats what we recommend to get to Aspen. But if youre flying in from overseas or you prefer larger airports and airplanes, then head into Denver. Be advised, its a 4-hour drive from Denver to Aspen, and thats if the weather is good and theres no ski traffic on I-70 in the mountains!

As for Aspen, youll love this little town and the nearby resort town of Snowmass Village, which is quite an iconic little alpine town. Choose where you want to stay in Aspen based on the ski resorts you plan to visit the most. There are tons of transportation options between all of them, but its still a good idea to choose a hotel near your primary ski resort. Most hotels also offer airport shuttles.
