What I love about Paquis is that its so diverse, there are things to do here for any type of traveler no matter what time of the year youre visiting. The main train station is also located here so you can easily venture outside the city if youre in the mood! All the foodie enthusiasts, including myself, of course, will be happy to know that there are tons of food outlets too, so make sure you check them all during your stay in Geneva.
Youll also find a few attractions located in Paquis like the Palais des Nations, which is the home of the United Nations offices in Geneva and is set in a beautiful 1936 historic building. In other words, be prepared for a lesson in culture when staying in Old Town, as there is no shortage of things to see and do. Here, youll find quaint cafes and hearty restaurants next to stately buildings and adventure around every corner.
A cant miss sight of Old Town, and perhaps of all of Geneva, is the Cathédrale St-Pierre, a world-famous relic. Founded in the 4th century, the Cathédrale St-Pierre was originally built as a Roman Catholic Church.

It is not known for its shopping, but several small antique shops, art galleries and curios dot the narrow streets.
Past the University and the Parc des Bastions with its Reformation Wall, two other boutique hotels, the Tiffany and the Cour des Augustins, cater to travellers drawn to a lively and cultural area, vibrant with museums, cafes and restaurants. The nearby Plaine de Plainpalais boasts the largest flea market in Europe, every Wednesday and Saturday.
