Excellent location in a vibrant neighborhood nestled amongst restaurants, bakeries, amazing shopping, and Metro train lines. Difference between shared space & hostel? When comparing a shared space to a hostel, there are pros and cons, of course. To sum it up, the main differences are:
- Pro: Shared spaces offer more of a local experience, usually including 1 on 1 time with the host.
- Con: They lack the bigger crowd feeling found at a hostel, and you will miss out on fun organised events and more opportunities to meet people.

Walk To The Eiffel Tower From A Relaxed Apartment
Finding Airbnbs in Paris close to the Eiffel Tower might feel too good to be true, but this apartment is proof that it isnt. Situated in the Grenelle neighborhood that borders the Eiffel Tower area, its harder to find anywhere closer to this Parisian icon. With attractions nearby, a short walk to metro stations, and loads of restaurants, the city really is at your doorstep.
The natural trade-off when you rent an apartment in Paris for a vacation with such a good location is size, but theres definitely enough room for a couple or family of four. In this Airbnb Plus, the main bedroom doubles as a living room while there is a separate bedroom with a sofa bed and access to the lovely little outdoor patio. Somehow theres still space for a full kitchen, with amenities like an espresso machine and microwave, as well as a modern bathroom.
To make your stay easier, the building has an elevator and the apartment features a washing machine. Theres also Wi-Fi for all your Paris research, but superhost Bernadette is able to help with local suggestions of what to do in the area.
Best Areas To Stay In Paris
My personal recommendations for best neighborhoods in Paris to stay would be the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th arrondissements.
I know a lot of budget hostels are up by Montmartre but Ive heard some horror stories, and I personally wouldnt want to stay in that area.
I think the closer you can stay near the river Seine, the better. The Louvre is fairly central so I would aim to stay within 1.5 miles of the Louvre.
Other best areas and landmarks to look for when youre booking are: -St. Germain

Eiffel Tower Views From The Botanical Rooftop
Price range: $Sleeps: Up to 4 people Minimum stay: 4 nights
The crowning glory of this apartment is the private terrace which provides panoramic views across the rooftops of Paris and of the mighty tower. This space is exclusively for your use so you can enjoy dining, stargazing, yoga, and catnapping as you wish without intrusion.
A real rarity in Paris, the apartment also has air conditioning. This makes it one of the most attractive apartments in Paris with Eiffel Tower view for a vacation during the peak of summer.
In addition to the expansive outdoor roof terrace, the interiors have their fair share of space which is ideal if youre traveling with children. The property has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen.
Unlike the other places on my list, the apartment is located on the Right Bank of Paris. Right in the heart of the 16th arrondissement, you can take advantage of nearby parks and fantastic restaurants and cafes that have more of a local vibe.
Guest review:Apartment was very spacious and the vintage style made our experience memorable. 2 things really stood out. First the apartment has air conditioning which is very rare in Paris and much appreciated since we went in a hot spell in July. Second, is the wow factor of having a private rooftop terrace with amazing views. Beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend it! Property managed well through a third party company who was very responsive to our needs. Michael, July 2019

Best Airbnb In Paris For: City Views
Polished parquet floors, rickety wooden beams, antique furniture and hand-sculpted sconces: few apartments feel more Parisian than this knockout loft at the foot of Montmartre. But even such deliberate riffs on French elegance cant distract from the dreamy cityscapes outside. At sunset, climb the wobbly metal ladder to reach the roof terrace its a fine spot to take in the Sacre Coeur in all its glory. Close to locals foodie haunt rue des Martyrs, just far enough from the tourist brouhaha, this is a special find in a bohemian pocket of Paris that still clings to its delightful villagey feel.
Is Paris Open For Tourists
France is open to tourists from EU countries and will be open for Americans from June 9, 2021. However, there is a curfew in effect and visitors need to provide a negative COVID-19 test or agree to get tested on arrival and undergo a 7-day quarantine. South Pigalle 9th Arrondissement
One of the up and coming places to stay in Paris is South Pigalle in the 9th Arrondissement. Located walking distance from Montmartre, this area used to be the red light district of Paris, but in recent years it has started to emerge as the Williamsburg of Paris. With new boutique hotels popping up constantly, it is more geared towards the frequent visitor to Paris rather than the first time visitor.
There are bar and eateries for every type of interest and the atmosphere is both intimate and relaxed. There are great restaurants, cafes and bakeries and it is the perfect place to stay if you want to meld into the Paris lifestyle.
The best hotels in the area are a mix of boutique and mid range. So, if this isnt your first trip to Paris or you just want to avoid staying amongst the throngs of tourists by the Eiffel Tower, the 9th Arrondissement is probably one of the best areas you could choose to stay in Paris.
Opra And South Pigalle: Affordable Hipster Haven
We love this area, and used it as a home base for our latest trip to Paris. The reason? Its packed full of great hotels at surprisingly affordable rates! Plus, its central walkable to the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, and Montmartre, and well connected via the metro to places that are a little further out.
Paris Opéra district extends from the Opéra Garnier in the south to the foot of Montmartre in the north, providing a fantastic location thats well-connected to the rest of the city, especially ideal for those who plan to catch a show at the Opéra.
Its centrally located between the Louvre, Champs-Elysees and Montmartre, the former red-light district that was once filled with brothels and shady characters as a place to avoid. Today, its home to lots of hip coffee shops and cocktail bars, including the acclaimed Dirty Dick cocktail bar and KB Coffee Roasters, widely regarded as the best place for coffee in Paris.
Pros and Cons of Staying in Opéra
- Relatively Affordable. Its still Paris youre still going to be spending more than 100 Euros per night, give or take, but its more affordable than more central neighborhoods like the 7th, Le Marais, and Saint Germain.
- There are a bunch of great hotels. For some reason, all of our favorite hotel chains all decided to use this area as their home base. And did we mention affordable?

Is Airbnb Cheaper Than Hotels In Paris
Hotels in Paris can actually be notoriously expensive, especially if youre looking to explore the City of Lights during peak periods like Christmas, the summer, or around Easter. Airbnb rentals in Paris, on the other hand, can offer some surprises on the price front. They are typically less per night than their hotel counterparts, but also come with extra space and self-catering facilities .
But its not that simple. Hotels do tout a greater level of service than Airbnbs. Youll have to sacrifice your daily housekeeping, the concierge in the lobby, the welcome drink, the on-site bar, and room service. If youre determined to keep things like that, then hotels like the Best Western Premier Kapital Opera are a doozy. That offers suites and rooms in the beautiful district of Montmartre that also boast extra creature comforts like regular cleaning and a dedicated front desk.
Enthrall yourself with visions of the Mona Lisa and selfies up the Eiffel Tower, with tastes of coq a vin and crisp champagne wines, with fashion shopping on the Champs Elysée and walks through the postcard streets of Montmartre, all by hopping off to Paris for a few days. There are some seriously fantastic Airbnbs waiting to make it a trip to remember!

Le Louvre / 1st Arrondissement Where To Stay In Paris For Luxury
Parisians call this neighborhood Le premier, meaning the first. As I explained in the beginning of this article, the first arrondissement of Paris is exactly the center of the city, so if you want to be in the center of the city of love, this should be your choice.
This neighborhood, often called Louvre, is one of the oldest parts of Paris and is located on the right bank of the Seine river. It is also one of the smallest neighborhoods in Paris and the main attractions you will find there are the Louvre Museum and the Tuileries Gardens. If you are searching for the best place to stay in Paris close to everything, this is your district!
