Would the area be good? Would we like it? Would it be close to the metro? What about shops and restaurants! We scoured the web and asked friends and family online for suggestions and were still stressed.

Hotel Parc Saint Severin
*Temporarily closed during the pandemic. In the vicinity of the vibrant Latin Quarter stands the quaint Hotel Parc Saint Severin. Highly rated for its convenient location and excellent staff service, it is no wonder guests easily feel right at home in this hotel! All kinds of travelers are welcome, but couples especially enjoyed their stay here at Hotel Parc Saint Severin.

Excellent location in a vibrant neighborhood nestled amongst restaurants, bakeries, amazing shopping, and Metro train lines. The property itself was tucked away ever so slightly which served to attenuate noise quite well. The room was comfortable and impeccably clean and the staff were spectacular! 3RD ARRONDISSEMENT
Sandwiched between hipster havens Oberkampf and Place de la République, just north of the , this open-plan masterpiece is all clean lines and sharp edges and deeply rooted in design. Theres just one bedroom , heaps of blonde wood, indoor plants in terracotta pots and fat, squashy brown armchairs to flop into. One bathroom comes with a freestanding tub overlooking a whisper-quiet courtyard below theres a backlit, floor-to-ceiling wine rack and a dining table made from upcycled tree trunks. The ultimate bachelor pad in a cool part of town.

Best Hotel In Oberkampf: Hotel Des Arts
Hotel des Arts is situated in one of Paris best neighbourhoods for nightlife. It is close to popular bars and trendy clubs, and there are a variety of great restaurants nearby. Sofa Bed in the Heart of Paris
For those that are travelling on a budget and enjoy meeting locals, choosing this Airbnb is a really good option.

The natural trade-off when you rent an apartment in Paris for a vacation with such a good location is size, but theres definitely enough room for a couple or family of four. My personal recommendations for best neighborhoods in Paris to stay would be the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th arrondissements.
I know a lot of budget hostels are up by Montmartre but Ive heard some horror stories, and I personally wouldnt want to stay in that area.
I think the closer you can stay near the river Seine, the better. The Louvre is fairly central so I would aim to stay within 1.5 miles of the Louvre.

A stunning apartment located just a 15 minute walk away from the parks, this is a great choice for somewhere to stay near Disneyland Paris. The apartment itself is light and airy and decorated to a fantastic standard. It sleeps up to 4 people with the use of a sofa bed. It has a full kitchen, including an oven so youre able to cook as much as youd like while staying here.
If you dont fancy walking to the parks, there is a bus stop right outside the apartment building that gets you to Disneyland within 10 minutes. Theres also secure parking for one car underneath the complex with an elevator that takes you up to the apartment. This VRBO has everything you could need for a magical stay.

Polished parquet floors, rickety wooden beams, antique furniture and hand-sculpted sconces: few apartments feel more Parisian than this knockout loft at the foot of Montmartre. But even such deliberate riffs on French elegance cant distract from the dreamy cityscapes outside. At sunset, climb the wobbly metal ladder to reach the roof terrace its a fine spot to take in the Sacre Coeur in all its glory. Close to locals foodie haunt rue des Martyrs, just far enough from the tourist brouhaha, this is a special find in a bohemian pocket of Paris that still clings to its delightful villagey feel.

France is open to tourists from EU countries and will be open for Americans from June 9, 2021. However, there is a curfew in effect and visitors need to provide a negative COVID-19 test or agree to get tested on arrival and undergo a 7-day quarantine. South Pigalle 9th Arrondissement
One of the up and coming places to stay in Paris is South Pigalle in the 9th Arrondissement. Located walking distance from Montmartre, this area used to be the red light district of Paris, but in recent years it has started to emerge as the Williamsburg of Paris. With new boutique hotels popping up constantly, it is more geared towards the frequent visitor to Paris rather than the first time visitor.
There are bar and eateries for every type of interest and the atmosphere is both intimate and relaxed. There are great restaurants, cafes and bakeries and it is the perfect place to stay if you want to meld into the Paris lifestyle.
The best hotels in the area are a mix of boutique and mid range. So, if this isnt your first trip to Paris or you just want to avoid staying amongst the throngs of tourists by the Eiffel Tower, the 9th Arrondissement is probably one of the best areas you could choose to stay in Paris.
Opra And South Pigalle: Affordable Hipster Haven
We love this area, and used it as a home base for our latest trip to Paris. The reason? Its packed full of great hotels at surprisingly affordable rates! Plus, its central walkable to the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, and Montmartre, and well connected via the metro to places that are a little further out.
Paris Opéra district extends from the Opéra Garnier in the south to the foot of Montmartre in the north, providing a fantastic location thats well-connected to the rest of the city, especially ideal for those who plan to catch a show at the Opéra.
Its centrally located between the Louvre, Champs-Elysees and Montmartre, the former red-light district that was once filled with brothels and shady characters as a place to avoid. Today, its home to lots of hip coffee shops and cocktail bars, including the acclaimed Dirty Dick cocktail bar and KB Coffee Roasters, widely regarded as the best place for coffee in Paris.
Pros and Cons of Staying in Opéra
Pros:
- Relatively Affordable. Its still Paris youre still going to be spending more than 100 Euros per night, give or take, but its more affordable than more central neighborhoods like the 7th, Le Marais, and Saint Germain.
- There are a bunch of great hotels. For some reason, all of our favorite hotel chains all decided to use this area as their home base. And did we mention affordable?

Hotels in Paris can actually be notoriously expensive, especially if youre looking to explore the City of Lights during peak periods like Christmas, the summer, or around Easter. Airbnb rentals in Paris, on the other hand, can offer some surprises on the price front. They are typically less per night than their hotel counterparts, but also come with extra space and self-catering facilities .
