Corfu The Best Greek Island For Outdoor Activities
If you want to visit a Greek Island that not only has stunning beaches but also has hiking trails and charming traditional villages surrounded by olive trees you will love Corfu!
Located on the west coast, Corfu is the second-largest island among the Ionian islands and can be reached by plane or ferry from other Ionian islands. If you plan to head to the Aegean Islands I suggest taking the plane as Corfu has limited ferry access.
The first thing you should do here is to discover the amazing streets of Corfu Town with so many colorful historic buildings, churches, and charming cafes. Feeling hot? Then it is time to go to pristine beaches and swim in the crystal clear water!
Of course, we cant forget the outdoor lovers, you should definitely hike Mount Pantokrator as it offers incredibly scenic views, and make sure to pay a visit to the surrounding villages. How does it sound?

Crete Where To Stay In Greece For Adventure
One of the top places to stay in Greece for adventure is the beautiful Greek island of Crete. Its the largest Greek and has a ton to offer! I spent three months there scuba diving and trust me if youre in Greece and are hungering for a hefty dose of adventure head on over to Crete.
With Evelin Dive Center, located near Rethymnon, I dove into underwater caves filled with prehistoric mammoth bones! Talk about adventure, right? If scuba diving isnt for you, then you can always go hiking in the Samaria Gorge or learn how to parasail or kitesurf right on the Aegean Sea.
There are three main cities on the island that travelers usually choose to stay in: the largest and busiest city of Heraklion, the smaller and more beautiful city of Chania, or the gem of them all Rethymno. Rethymno is very picturesque and puts you right in between the two larger cities of Chania and Heraklion. So youll be sitting pretty in the heart of it all!
As the largest island in Greece, there is plenty to do on Crete for the thrill-seekers out there. Trust me, there are more than just archeological sites and pristine beaches in Crete!

How To Get To Mykonos
There are many flights from Athens and Thessaloniki to Mykonos. The flight trip from Athens to Mykonos is about 30 minutes. During the summer months, many airlines have direct flights to Mykonos from many European cities.
My recommended airline is Aegean Air/ Olympic Air also part of Star Alliance. They fly all over around Greece. You can check for the flight schedule below:
You can take the boat to Mykonos from Athenss two major ports Piraeus and Rafina. There are daily ferries going to the island and the trip lasts about 3 hours if you take the high-speed ferry and 5 hours if you take the regular one. Mykonos is also connected by ferry to other Cycladic islands like Tinos, Andros, Paros, Naxos, Syros, and Santorini to name a few making it the perfect starting point for island hopping around the Greek Islands. During the tourist season, you might find connections to other islands.
So deciding where to stay in Mykonos completely depends on you, who youre going with, your preferences, how do you perceive your vacation, and much more. For the unstoppable force of people, music, crowds, and chaos then definitely choose Mykonos Town or one of the trendy beach resorts,. For a beach vacation that will disconnect you from life for a few days, then choose one of the many beach resorts.
