Beware Of Resort Fees

Most hotels in Las Vegas add on a daily extra charge which isnt included in the room rate, whether you book direct or through a booking site. Resort fees at hotels along the Strip range from $25$45 a night before tax and you usually pay at the end of your stay.
Originally the fee was to cover extra services and some hotels do include extras like airport shuttles, local phone calls or fitness facilities but now it can be a sneaky way to up the profits. Some hotels are more upfront about their fees than others, but always double check. For the hotels listed here, Ive included the resort fee in the price calculations so its clear.
Prices given are the average for a double room on a weeknight including resort fees.

How To Eat At 5 Star Restaurants On A One Star Budget
Las Vegas restaurants are the busiest between 8-10 pm, which makes it harder to score a table.
Thankfully, most of these restaurants will run a pre-theater or happy hour menu between 4-7 pm.
Youll still get the same amazing quality meal, just at a cheaper price.
Here are some 5 star restaurants that you can eat at quite affordably. I say affordably because youll still be paying anywhere from $50-$90 per person but the quality of these restaurants can easily run you $200 or more in any other major city.
- LAtelier Joel Rubuchon at the MGM Grand
- Picasso at the Bellagio
- Eiffel Tower Restaurant at the Paris Las Vegas
- Jean Georges Steakhouse at the Aria
- Twist by Pierre Gagniere at the Mandarin Oriental
You should also consider getting one of these restaurants credit cards thatll help you save money on your dining costs.
Heck one of these cards helped me eat at a 5 star restaurant for FREE.
P.S. Dont forget to make reservations. These restaurant apps should help.

The Strat One Of The Top Hotel Deals On The Las Vegas Strip
For a more kid-friendly hotel in Las Vegas, head to The STRAT. Best known for its 1,149-foot SkyPod, this resort offers some of the hottest hotel deals on the Las Vegas Strip.
Along with free Wi-Fi and self-parking, the STRAT has the cheapest hotel rooms in Las Vegas, NV. The standard and deluxe rooms are simple and sleek, but I recommend the premium suites, which come with Roman spa bathtubs, seating areas, and a wet bar. The prices are unbeatable, so youll be able to upgrade your vacation without breaking the bank.
4. The STRAT, one of the top hotel deals on the Las Vegas Strip
During your stay, be sure to check out the 80,000ft² casino or one of the vibrant nightlife venues. The View Lounge is an elegant spot for after-dinner drinks and socializing, plus the views are incredible. You can catch an acrobatics show at the hotels Celestia tent, get a laugh at the LA Comedy Club, or see MJ Live at the showroom. The STRAT also has a 24-hour gym, a shopping center, the family resort-style Elation Pool, and the adults-only Wet24 Pool & Bar.

Got $210/154 Try The Bellagio
The Bellagio* might not be the most luxurious hotel on the Strip, but for me its classic Las Vegas where you still feel like you might come across Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Junior propping up the bar one evening. The resort is one of the largest on the Strip with almost 4000 rooms, but with a high staff to guest ratio you wouldnt know it from the service.
The resort is located right at the heart of the Strip, but is set back behind a lake with those famous fountains so youre away from the bustle on the streets. The rooms are decorated in muted colours in understated, elegant style with Italian furniture. There are 20 places to eat around the Bellagio, one of which has $100 million worth of Picasso paintings on its walls.
The Bellagio also has its own designer shopping centre where you can stock up on Armani and Chanel, a spa, art gallery, indoor botanical gardens, nightclub, cocktail bar and a Cirque du Soleil show. There are five pools in the resorts grounds, where you can reserve a luxury cabana complete with a supply of iced towels. The resort fee is $45 per night.
If youre splashing out, also try the Wynn, Cosmopolitan or the Mandarin Oriental.
