Wrigleyville And Southport Corridor
After the Cubs won the 2016 World Series, Wrigleyville has been undergoing an impressive overhaul, bringing with it multitudes of new restaurants, bars, shops, and hotels that are quickly changing what city dwellers once thought of the area . Meanwhile, Southport Corridor only continues to grow cooler, thanks to the arrivals of on-trend retailers and lively eateries.
Where to stay: You cant get any closer to the action than with a stay at Hotel Zachary, a 173-room boutique hotel located directly across from Wrigley Field. Cubs fan or not, expect a memorable stay thanks to striking mid-century modern interiors and generously sized rooms. Opt for an east-facing one for views of the park and adjacent Gallagher Way . Dine at The Bar at Hotel Zachary, where a menu of light bites accompanies a fleet of classic cocktails.
Things to do: Find plenty of adventure beyond the ballpark here, starting with the shops of Southport Avenue, home to a medley of big-box names and boutiques alike . Come evening, check out a screening at The Music Box, a historic theatre that hosts a roster of indie and foreign films. Keep an eye on the calendar at Uncommon Ground, too, a coffeeshop-come-concert venue that spotlights local and touring up-and-comers.

Lakeview A Residential Suburb In Chicago
Lakeview is a residential suburb immediately north of Lincoln Park. Quite removed from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, this neighborhood is ideal for anyone looking for somewhere quieter to escape the crowds.
As it is quite far removed from the city centre and many of Chicagos main attractions, I would not suggest this area if it is your first time visiting the Windy City. Likewise, if you are planning to stay in Chicago for a shorter visit, Lakeview is not the most convenient location to maximise your time.
Lakeview is perfect if you are looking to experience a more local, everyday side of Chicago. As a residential neighborhood, the cafes and restaurants are largely family run and cater to the locals rather than tourists.
One of the loveliest areas of Lakeview is around Belmont Harbour. The sheltered bay is home to a small marina surrounded by a leafy park. Wandering along the walking trails whilst watching the boats drift around the harbour makes for a very relaxing afternoon stroll. You can also check out Broadway and Chicago Music Exchange, and Wrigley Field baseball stadium in this area.
Stay in Lakeview if You re looking for a quiet neighborhood to experience everyday life in suburban Chicago Being quite far removed from the city centre is not an issue It is not your first time visiting Chicago.

Wrigleyville Best Chicago Neighborhood For Sports Fans
As you might guess, Wrigleyville is the neighborhood immediately surrounding Wrigley Field. This is also part of Lakeview, which is a huge Chicago neighborhood that also encompasses Boys Town. This is the first place I lived in Chicago, and back in the 90s, there were no hotels in the area. Out-of-town guests had to crash on my couch or stay quite a ways away from my apartment. Today, Wrigleyville has been totally renovated, including Wrigley Field itself. Last fall, I had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Zachary, the brand new Marriott Bonvoy property right across the street from Wrigley Field. Its an awesome hotel and its so fun to stay in this part of town. If you can snag a room here during Cubs season, do it! Elsewhere in the neighborhood, youll find tons of sports bars, casual restaurants, and a few fun shops. If you are not a sports fan, check the Cubs calendar before you decide to stay in Wrigleyville the crowds can be annoying if you arent part of them.
Personal Pick for Wrigleyville Chicago hotel: Hotel Zachary Chicago, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel is an amazing place to stay for Cubs fans.
