Where To Stay In Seville : Top 4 Neighborhoods
1. Santa Cruz
Deep in the lanes of the Barrio Santa Cruz neighborhood is the former Jewish Quarter Seville. The district dates to Medieval times and is more compact than other Seville neighborhoods. Although the area is a hotspot for tourists, it feels genuinely like a local, upper class neighborhood with tucked away squares and lovely gardens.
Santa Cruz has many fantastic hotels where you can stay. This neighborhood is probably the best choice for families. 5 minutes away from the main attractions like The Real Alcazar or Cathedral, this hidden location is perfect if you wish to stay somewhere close to the city canter.
This place it is however very touristy and unless you know where to go, most of the restaurants are not that great and mostly overpriced.
Once home to the Inquisition Castle and the poor fisherman and gypsy of Seville, Triana is emblematic. Quaint homes, tile for miles and churches are Trianas crown jewels, and its become a favorite among foreigners because of its bustling market and charm. Some of the citys most beloved bars, shops and even pasos are here, and the view from the river-flanked Calle Betis is gorgeous.
Triana is a perfect choice for anyone that would like to get a bit more local experience, with the location still being convenient and accessible. Another great pick for families, but also backpackers. Food choices in Triana are fantastic, with many old and traditional tapas bars in the area.
4. Seville Centre
Why Avoid Seville Centre
Seville Centre will get busy, especially during the peak season. It’s nice to be close to everything but weekends can get loud and crowded. Because of its proximity to so many interesting attractions, prices in this area are a little higher. Nevertheless, as with Santa Cruz, Seville Centre is one of the best places to stay in Seville for first-time tourists and travellers.

Best Places To Stay In La Macarena
Exe Sevilla Macarena This is a big hotel with a classic but old-school grand style. The rooms at Exe Sevilla Macarena are carpeted and decked out with dark wood furniture, large mirrors, and sofas. But one of the best things about this hotel is the rooftop terrace, where you can take in a 360-degree view of the city with a drink or two. For sports fans, theres a big bar with international sports channels showing, but the restaurant is set around a more chilled out courtyard.
Hotel Plaza Santa Lucía On offer at this hotel are unfussy rooms with a simple and modern design aesthetic. Theyre not opulent, but theyre clean and well equipped. Elsewhere in the hotel, guests can take a break from sightseeing on the rooftop terrace or take a relaxing dip in the pool. But its the location that steals the show Hotel Plaza Santa Lucía is close to many top attractions and, of course, many a tasty tapas bar.

Why Stay In Arenal
Arenal is a beautiful neighbourhood which has a touch of romance to it. We loved walking by the canal hand in hand, admiring the lush vegetation and the quirky Spanish houses on each side. Arenal is close to Santa Cruz and other central locations, so pretty much everything is walking distance. For a romantic evening, take your partner and walk along the river all the way to Plaza de España just on time for sunset pictures.
Distrito Sur Best Neighborhood In Seville For History Buffs
We move now to the district located to the south east of Casco Antiguo, Distrito Sur. While history is still one of the main draws to the area, it is a much more recent history than the ancient offerings we have previously looked at.
From 1929 to 1930, this was the location of the Ibero-American Exposition Of 1929, a worlds fair that involved Spain, Portugal and countries from North and South America, held in
In the 19 years leading up to the exposition, the city constructed numerous buildings in anticipation of the event, many of the grandest among them designed by legendary Spanish architect Anibal Gonzalez and located around the Plaza De Espana, to house the Spanish exhibits at the event. This gives the area a very different and distinctive style to what you will find elsewhere in the city.
While many of the buildings were to be converted into consulates and embassies for the countries that used them during the fair, some, including many of the ones that housed the Spanish exhibits, have been converted into tourist attractions, such as the Archaeological Museum Of Seville, located within the Pabellon Del Renacimiento, and the Museum Of Arts And Popular Customs Of Seville, found within the Pabellon Mudejar.
Stay in Distrito Sur if you are a fan of museums, you like stunning parks, you want to learn more about the citys modern history, you are interested in the Ibero-American Exposition Of 1929.

Triana And Los Remedios Where To Stay In Seville With A Family
Triana is such a distinct, unique district in Seville, that people sometimes call it the independent republic of Triana! I definitely recommend it to travelers that want to enjoy Seville in an authentic, local way!
Triana is located extremely close to Los Remedios, thats why I decided to combine them into one single recommendation. By the way, both of them are very close to El Arenal, you just need to cross the river and youre there. These two areas are not as touristy as Barrio Santa Cruz or Centre, but they have a more local atmosphere. Theyre my recommendations for families with kids traveling to Seville.
Some of the highlights of Triana include charming streets , beer places , a lively market, authentic food places and cute, traditional ceramic shops , where you can see locals at work, making colorful ceramic tiles from the mud collected from the river bank.
Los Remedios is a modern, residential district consisting of beautiful, wide streets. Youll find plenty of parks and green spaces here, nice streets where you can take a walk, boutique shops, and contemporary buildings as well.
Here are the best hotels where you can stay in both Triana and Los Remedios:

One of the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city, Los Remedios is our top pick for where to stay in Seville with kids. It is home to the incredible Parque de los Principes and a myriad of museums.
Perhaps it is most famously known as the site of Sevilles annual Feria de Abril. One of the largest celebrations in Spain, the colourful and fun Feria de Abril attracts hundreds of revellers to the city each spring.

Seville is one of those cities that manage to make its visitors fall in love with its food and culture.

Alameda de Hércules is the young and festive area of Seville. For a long time it did not enjoy a good reputation, today it is the epicenter of nightlife of Seville. This area is home to several tapas bars and is the place to go for a drink both day and night.
