A Rough Guide To Using Airbnb In London

There are countless perks to using Airbnb in London, with the most notable being how much you save on your total accommodation costs, and being able to use a fully-equipped kitchen and cook your own meals at home.

Once youve entered in the city you want to visit in Airbnb.coms search engine, you can use the map to pinpoint a specific location, and sort through the listings according to price, location and facilities, Each listing should specify more details about the room, flat or house, such as whether youll be sleeping on an actual bed or a pull-out couch, or whether youll be sharing the home with the owners or other renters.

Before deciding on a place, its always a good idea to write the owner and ask them questions such as how long it will take to walk to the nearest underground station, if youll have your own set of keys, whether theres a lock on your door , and whether you can make tea or coffee in the kitchen. Some listings have different cancellation policies, so its always good to read the fine print before you make a final decision. Normally each listing has a list of various rules such as whether or not youre allowed guests or pets, whether alcohol is allowed on the premises, and if theres any quiet hours.

My wife and I are traveling to London July 18-21 and are looking for a great neighborhood to stay in. We plan on booking through Air BnB. She has never been to London and I have only been once as a child. So, we want to definitely do some of the “touristy” things like London Eye, Buckingham Palace, London Bridge, etc. However we are also big “foodies”, love to drink good beer/wine/cocktails, listen to live music, shop, and do what the locals do. We are 27 years old and like to have a good time, but not looking to go to the disco until 5 a.m. Lookings for charm, good food, good pubs, and ease of access to the city.

We have been looking at Shoreditch, Soho, Notting Hill, Mayfair, Battersea, and .
