Best Part Of Denver To Stay In

Central Park Residential District In Denver

Union Station Mentioned In Denver Mayor’s Speech About Targeting Crime

Our final destination of the former site of the decommissioned Stapleton International Airport, Central Park and Stapleton is located in the very north-eastern section of Denver. This largest residential district has some of the most affordable hotels in Denver located here.

Central Park is Denvers third-largest park, eighty acres with wonderful trails, a big playground, and a worthy view of the Rocky Mountains.

Detached from much of the city, it isnt a place that will be right for the majority of people. That said, it does have a few selling points for the right type of traveler.

The Stanley Marketplace is a shopping center and hipster meeting place with several restaurants, shops, and businesses.

The other reason people stay in Central Park is to visit Rocky Mountains Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. Covering almost 16,000 acres, it gives you the chance to spot some of the 330 species of wildlife that live there, including birds, bison, coyotes, deer, prairie dogs, raccoons, and ferrets.

Stay in Central Park Stapleton if you are traveling on a budget you want to visit the Rocky Mountains Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge.

Rino: The River North Arts District

The RiNo neighborhood is one of the more recent additions to the Denver milieu. Like many cities, as downtown areas began to get more expensive, the long-neglected industrial part of town became appealing because artist space was affordable. Denver artists are really what made this neighborhood what it is today.

Pros and Cons of Staying in RiNo

PROS: The best part of staying in RiNo is that its chock full of great restaurants, stylish shops, good coffee, and amazing art. This is truly the best neighborhood in Denver for people who want to eat well in between mural discoveries, which colorfully adorn nearly every industrial-sized wall you encounter.

CONS: The downside to RiNo is the lack of green space. As mentioned, its an industrial area turned hip-neighborhood, and the defining feature is the vast amount of warehouse space and, therefore, canvas.

Its also home to the lovely Latin-inspired SuperMegaBien, so you can easily access that late night pupusa. Win!

    Five Points/river North Arts District

The epicenter of all things up and coming in Denver, this area has seen a ton of changes in recent years. Five Points — once known as the Harlem of the West thanks to its jazz-fueled past — is the official neighborhood name, but RiNo, which technically occupies the northwest corner of the area is now a common moniker. No matter what you call it, its undeniable that its food halls, restaurants, and vibrant street art scene make this area a must-visit destination.

Where to stay Two hotel options offer a home away from home thats only steps from the neighborhood fun. When The Source opened in 2013, RiNo was, to put it candidly, not exactly one of the citys hottest neighborhoods. The food hall and marketplace were the first of their kind in Denver — kicking off a trend thats showing no signs of slowing down today. Now, you can not only eat at The Source , you can stay there too. The hotel has serious industrial vibes with plenty of concrete, a muted color palette, and minimalist decor. Hot Tip: if you can score one of the rooms with a garage door window, do it. Further south off Larimer, the 50-room boutique Ramble Hotel looks like its been in the neighborhood forever even though it was newly built and opened in 2018. A stay here gives you easy access to Denvers outpost of the NYC-based cocktail bar Death & Co .
