Getting from the Airport to Your Stay:
While there is a shuttle bus that exists for $1.25 from the airport into Austin, I will warn you its an HOUR TRIP at minimum. Its a pain in the butt, and thats coming from an Austinite. I almost ALWAYS recommend taking an Uber or a Lyft instead!
Should I Rent a Car or Uber?
You can totally get away with either option. I will warn you that while if youre staying Central youre fine without a car, places like Mount Bonnell or Lake Travis are going to be a lot cheaper if you have a car rented instead!
Should We Get a Hotel Room or Rent an AirBnb?
Dont you love my it depends answers! If you plan on going out and enjoying local restaurants / dont want to rent a car then opt for a hotel downtown. They have the added perk of those rooftop pools. Also most have an airport shuttle to save you some extra cash there too!But if you are looking for a more low-key chill stay or have a larger group, an Airbnb is likely the way to go. You can find some GORGEOUS AirBnb options up in the Hill Country or near the wineries if youre looking for that route!

Hike Up and Enjoy a Dip in the GreenbeltThe best place on a sunny day with some friends! Grab some beers, catch some sun, and you can jump off the rocks if you are feeling bold! Park at the Gaines Creek and Twin Falls Access Point and follow the trail on your right all the way to the Falls. Its about a half mile walk through the trail, and youll know when youre there!
Paddleboard or Kayak on Lake AustinIts on every Austinite bucket list and it must be done if the weather is right! You can rent Kayaks or Paddle-board from the Texas Rowing Center, which is my personal favorite company to kayak within Austin!

What To Pack For A Bachelorette Party In Austin Texas
Packing for Austin can be a bit tricky. My wedding group of gals totally failed a bit on our Austin bachelorette party outfits because we didnt take into account Texas very midwest-like weather. The first few days were hot but on the last day the weather shifted to low 60s and chilly.
So, heads up, the winters and spring can be chilly, so youll want to pack a sweater if youre throwing your bachelorette party then. Otherwise, pack lots of swimsuits, party dresses, crop tops and sunscreen! If you are coming in the dead of summer, plan on it being hot hot hot but other seasons you will want to pack for any type of weather.

Best Place To Rent A House For A Bachlorette Party Inaustin
I am looking for the best place to stay in Austin. Somewhere easy to be able to go out for the nightlife and for our day trips. Is it better to stay where the partying is? or is it better to stay on a lake?
Definitely better to stay downtown to be close to bars, restaurants, and music venues. If you stay out on the lake, you’re looking at very expensive cab rides to get to and from downtown.
Ditto what Mr. Ted said. Look at airbnb, home way and vbro for rentals. Airbnb has a bunch of condos in a complex right smack in the middle of the action. It’s called The Railyard. Look at them. Can’t get any closer than that IMO. Lot’s of downtown rentals, but I don’t recommend the new rental action in East Austin. Just not suitable for bunch of gals alone. Try to keep it in downtown.

Plus Texas is in a horrible drought so most lake houses are not actually on water at this point.
i just wanted to say it is not true that most lake houses in Austin are not on water at this point. Lake Austin is a constant level lake, so it is always full and Lake Travis is still 100 ft deep in the channel. Most of the Lake Travis houses keep their boats at a deep water marina.
I’d vote for trying to get a rental at the Railyard condos in downtown. They’re very close to all the fun of 6th street and not that far to S. Congress either. You can have that second or third! margarita and walk back to the condo!
