10 Best Places to Visit in Argentina – Travel Video

What better than staying just a 5 minute walk from the Mezquita during your trip to Cordoba? At Best Location Hotels, we have selected 7 hotels which are right at the heart of Cordoba´s historical centre, in the wonderful Jewish Quarter.

Cordoba´s famous Mezquita is one of the most visited monuments in Spain and is a real must-see if you are visiting this historical Andalusian city. Together with Granada´s Alhambra, they embody the true essence of Andalusian architecture, built by the moors which make them very different to the other main cathedrals you may find throughout the rest of Spain.

The Jewish Quarter is the other essential place to visit in Cordoba. Aside from its cultural interest coming from the remnants of its Jewish past, the neighbourhood is an enchanting labyrinth of narrow streets, with bursts of colour coming from the beautiful flowers, coloured patio tiling and white facades of the houses and courtyards, which are teeming with history.

There is no doubt that the best area to stay in Cordoba is nearby the Mezquita in the historical centre.

Where To Stay In Crdoba Spain Cordoba Neighbourhoods

Cordoba is a really walkable city, which makes it easy when deciding where to stay in Córdoba Spain.

We would recommend staying in the historic centre of Córdoba, or within 20 minutes walk from the Mezquita. This way you will most likely be staying in and surrounded by beautiful architecture, cobblestone streets, and be closer to restaurants and attractions. We would also recommend staying on the same side of the Guadalquivir river as the Mezquita, as this is where the historic centre and main sights are located. If you stay on the other side of the river, try and stay as close as possible to the river and near the Roman Bridge.

The area around Plaza de las Tendillas is a more modern commercial centre of Cordoba, but still within walking distance to the historic centre and sights.

We stayed in the Santa Marina neighbourhood near Palacio de Viana, and although it was about a 15-minute walk to the Mezquita, it was a beautiful quiet neighbourhood.

The main accommodation options here are boutique hotels, apartments and Airbnbs .

It may be obvious, but if you want to find out how long the walk is from certain hotels, just pop the hotel into google maps and pick another point in Cordoba and get the walking time.
