Jackson Hole Rodeo
The rodeo has been a part of Jackson Holes cowboy culture since the first settlers arrived over 100 years ago. Your trip wouldnt be complete without experiencing the legendary Jackson Hole Rodeo which is held several times each week in downtown Jackson, WY. Events include bronc riding, bareback riding, bull riding, barrel racing, calf roping, breakaway roping and team roping.
Horseback Trail Rides
Few activities offer both thrill and serenity like horseback riding. Stables are located throughout the valley, and each offer rides to accommodate any schedule, from an hour to a full day. These full-service ranches also offer guides, camping equipment and provisions for multi-day pack trips.
Chuck wagon dinners proffer up solid grub and a dose of Western entertainment: What could more more perfect than eating a dinner with a cowboy or two? Chuck wagon dinners are great fun for the whole family and a must-see for those whove never experienced the Old West firsthand.

The easiest way to get to Jackson Hole is to fly into Jackson Hole Airport, which is located approximately 10 miles from Jackson and offers connections to several major airports in the United States.
If youd rather combine a road trip with your visit to Jackson, then youll be able to take in so many more scenic views of the surrounding mountains during your drive. Late spring, summer, and early fall are usually great times to drive, but in the winter the roads can become pretty iffy. For winter travel, some roads may be closed, and if the weather gets really bad, you can probably count on flights being grounded as well. When To Visit: Jackson Weather And More
No matter when you visit, the experience here is always focused on the outdoors. In the winter, the culture revolves around snow sports like skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. In the summer, most gravitate to activities like hiking or water sports such as rafting or paddle boarding. Jackson weather in the summer usually lands somewhere in the high seventies and low eighties, while in the winter, the temperature hovers in the low twenties and teens. Single digit days, especially on Jackson Hole Mountain, are not uncommon.
Summer is the high season, so expect more people and longer waits. Winter, especially during holiday weeks, also sees a significant influx of visitors. Those looking for a quieter time to visit should opt for September or early-to-mid October. However, those who opt for November or April may find themselves wanting, as many restaurants and shops temporarily shutter to prepare for the upcoming peak seasons. Likewise, although Grand Teton National Park is open every day of the year, many facilities such as campgrounds and visitor centers are closed or have reduced hours from November through April.
