Best For Romance: The Westin Lake Las Vegas

Courtesy of The Westin Lake Las Vegas

With its scenic location on the 320-acre Lake Las Vegas appealing Moroccan-inspired decor, and Mediterranean- esque touches in the form of exquisite tile work, terracotta, rich fabrics, and lanterns, this stay is pure glamour and romance. Since it’s about a 30-minute drive from the noise of the Strip this particular Westin is a great option for couples who want a little separation from all the action downtown.

The Westin Lake Las Vegas offers 493 luxurious rooms and suites, and the property is surrounded by a breathtaking expanse of desert and mountains. There are plenty of upscale amenities to take advantage of here, including outdoor yoga classes, couples spa treatments, a multi-level water complex , and a variety of lake activities and excursions. Plus, the food on-site is outstanding: Ricks Cafe serves tasty Moroccan and the award-winning Marssa specializes in gourmet Japanese and Asian fusion cuisine and you can enjoy dinner while looking out over the glimmering lake at sunset.

Where To Stay In Las Vegas On The Strip

Las Vegas Boulevard, the famous three and a half mile stretch of road also known as the Strip, is the heart of Las Vegas and is the main road that connects where to get some of the citys best food, fun, shops, sights and activities.

It even connects some other great places that you would want to check out that are not on the Strip. But they are easy enough to get to such as Allegiant Stadium for Raiders games and Town Square for an outdoor food and shopping extravaganza and Top Golf for a laid back evening.

These are my first choice hotels on the Strip:

Traveling to Venice for a night is possible thanks to The Venetian, one of the themed hotels in Las Vegas. Not only is it the prettiest hotel, but you can also even experience the canals of Venice there.

1. The Venetian, one of the best-themed hotels in Las Vegas

Gondoliers will take you through the hotel, and you ll feel like youre in the City of Love. Thats why this hotel is a magical place to sleep in Las Vegas.

Flamingo Hotel Las Vegas

Best Places To Visit In Las Vegas

3555 Las Vegas Blvd S., Las Vegas, NV 89109

The original Flamingo Hotel was torn down in 1993 and rebuilt to be morepink and flamingo-y. There are WAY more pink flamingos everywhere on property and the rooms all have a pop of pink. Similar to Excalibur, this hotel is pretty budget friendly too. Rooms run as low as low as $33 per night during off-peak season and they also regularly run promos.

Flamingo has an appealing unique amenity for families : Fifteen of its rooms have bunk beds! And one is a suite. So bring the family. Even the extended family as the bunkbed rooms can fit 5-6 bodies. I say bodies, not people, because Flamingo is pet friendly. One of the few hotels in Las Vegas thats pet friendly. For an extra fee, Fido can come along with the family, and choose his own bunk.

For the nature observer, Flamingo has a 15-acre wildlife habitat with exotic birds, including flamingos of course, and koi fish. So feel free to take an afternoon stroll with the family through this manmade natural environment.

And its located next to the Linq Promenade which has a hip bowling alley, the worlds largest observation wheel, ziplining and a two-story candy store! So feel free to pump them full of sugar and turn them loose!

Hotel The Venetian Las Vegas

Thehotel is located in the north of The Strip, but is so surrounded by casinos and nightlife that it feels like the epicenter. It is connected to its sister property, The Palazzo, by the Grand Canal Shoppes and it is possible to walk to most places, or take one of the convenient buses that stop outside. Given the glorious aesthetic, even the short wait in the lobby to register felt like part of a visit to the museum, and the impeccable training of hospitality of the staff was a joy.

The most celebrated installation in the place is, of course, the Grand Canal itself, and guests can slip into authentic gondolas between Venetian street scenes and under the bridges, serene by the pilots operability. The options of shops and restaurants found in the Grand Canal Shoppes range from the high-end to the populist, and the complex also houses the ultra-decadent Canyon Ranch Spa Club.

There are about 4,000 suites on the property, which gives you an idea of its scale. Even the entry-level luxury suites, however, did not feel like a generic, generic room production line. The sunken living room is the most luxurious touch and is adorned with the dark purples of the velvet sofas, the large padded headboards and the bright marble countertops. You can curl up in your ridiculously comfortable bed and direct the blinds and curtains controlled by remote control.

What Else Is There For Ways To Get Hotel Discounts

Well, actually, there are many ways to get discounts or even free nights. However, this is not as easy as booking rooms at discounted rates online.

For example, there is the ominous $ 20 trick. In how far this still works I can not really judge. At check-in at the front desk, the hotel clerk unobtrusively puts $ 20 on the counter and asks for an upgrade. If the hotelier on it, he can see if by chance a better room is available.I have not tried it myself, but who wants to can try it.

The next option is for everyone who plans to play a lot in the casinos and not with dime amounts. For who wants to, can get a Players card and gets credited in slot games, poker, etc. points. These can then someday, among other things, for free nights or room upgrades redeem. In order to achieve enough points, you should already make more than $ 100 in sales, otherwise, nothing will get around.

Anyone who Las Vegas, by the way, usually gets an upgrade, usually a suite, if you ask nicely at the reception and tell about it. At least thats what I heard.

Well, I think these were a few suggestions to help you find a cheap room or even an affordable suite in Las Vegas.

Best Airbnb In Downtown Las Vegas: Room With Family Just Off The Strip

They call it the 420 friendly room. Take that how you want it, but needless to say, this room is for the traveler who enjoys a super chill time in the city and will be doing more on the strip than they will in the room. The cozy bed with dark shades is EXACTLY what you need after a night or morning buried in slot machines on the strip.

Best Old School: Flamingo

While many of Vegass top casinos attract buzz by looking to the future, the three-star Flamingo is planted firmly in the past just the way its patrons like it. Opened by mobster Bugsy Siegel in 1946, the hotel remains true to its vintage Vegas roots, despite a recent renovation and current ownership by Caesars Entertainment. Not only does the Art Deco resort have a Miami-flavored theme, but its marquee show forgoes the current pop charts in favor of headlining 70s icons Donny and Marie Osmond. With a spectacular location just across from Caesars Palace, steps from The Cromwell, and close to the Paris, its also well-positioned for perfect views of the Bellagio fountains from some of its strip-side rooms.

Despite the classic vibe, the hotel has recently undergone renovations, meaning GO and Flamingo Rooms are clean, spacious and bright, with amenities like a fridge, coffee maker, and bathroom mirror TV and some featuring automatic drapes although travelers complain about non-renovated rooms elsewhere. Restaurants include Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville, and theres also a buffet and classic old Vegas steakhouse called Center Cut with a retro theme. Guests can enjoy time by the 21+ pool with entertainment from go-go dancers and DJs, get pampered at the spa and salon, or book tee-time at nearby golf courses Rio Secco and Cascata Golf. Wi-Fi is free and parking is available for a fee.
