Visit Park City
Locals say that summer is this ski resort town’s best kept secret, but the secret’s getting out.
Overnight tourism is at an all-time high and more second home owners are making Park City their primary residence, perhaps for tax purposes as much as the region’s year-round beauty.

Waldorf Astoria Park City
The Waldorf Astoria Park City was voted the best ski hotel in the country at the World Ski Awards last year, but the hotel is equally enchanting in the summertime, with families and friends congregating around the pool and sharing s’mores by the fireplace every night at dusk. Rent a cabana for extra privacy to enjoy mini-spa treatments and fresh fruit. With just 160 guest rooms and suites, Park City hotel ties with the new Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills as the smallest hotels in the Waldorf portfolio. To commemorate their 10th anniversary next year, there’s a big room renovation in the works.

Anytime Is A Great Time To Visit Park City
We came for the winter, but stayed for the summer ask a few Park City residents how they made their way to Park City and this is a phrase you are guaranteed to hear. While images of fluffy white powder and expertly groomed ski runs are the first things to pop into many heads when they hear Park City, the truth is there is absolutely no bad time to enjoy our perfect mountain town!
We had a great experience! Communication was exceptional and I felt a genuine concern about our experience. I would definitely use Park City Hotels again! Oh…and the condo we rented was amazing, warm and welcoming. We had a wonderful time and will be back again

Mountain Biking In Park City
Park City is a mountain biking area with over 450 miles of easy access trails and there is truly something to please every rider and even the beginners can enjoy the mountain and the ride.
Thats exactly what we did: we did visit PK at the end of June to learn how to ride a mountain bike and it must be said that we were a bit intimidated to try mountain biking for the first time in a place that is filled with seasoned riders and athletes. However, there was no need or room for intimidation, as every guide, teacher, and rider was excited to welcome a new person onto the trails and teach us the ropes.
Two local companies, and White Pine Touring, have organised everything for us: professional instructors capable of understanding our fears, our limits and also how to push us have been with us for the duration of the trip, helping us not only with the basic of mountain biking but also teaching us how to enjoy something we werent familiar with. In complete honesty: we want to do it again, and we may very soon.
These are just some of mountain biking trails in Park City but we recommend to check with local guides in order to find the most suitable ones based on your level of preparation.

Pick A Trail Any Trail
With more than 450 miles of public trails, Park City is a mountain-biking mecca. A great place to start is the Mid Mountain Trail, a 28 mile-long single-track trail about 8,000 feet above sea level. Most of it is shaded, but there are places to catch views of Park City. What makes it great is that it offers lots of options. You can ride the entire length of it or connect to it from a number of places in town, allowing endless loop possibilities based on your skill level and time constraints. Popular portions include the Spiro Trail, Sweeney North Trail, Ambush Trail, and Robs Trail.
A lot of the areas mountain-biking trails are also open for hiking. One of the more popular trails is the Armstrong Trail. Reachable via the Silver Spur Trail from the base of the ski resort, the Armstrong Trail offers a moderate elevation gain through wildflower fields and forests.
The Lofty Lake Loop is an easy 4-mile loop trail that takes you past three alpine lakes. For a more challenging hike, head up to the top of Bald Mountain. This 5-mile round-trip hike will take you most of the day, and its steep, but the expansive views of the surrounding mountains are well worth it.
There are also summer hiking and biking trails at the top of the chairlift at Park City Mountain Resort. You have to buy a pass to ride the lift, but there are a variety of trails ranging from easy to difficult up top.

Park City Staycation : Weekend At Grand America
Sometimes in our alpine bubble, its easy to forget that were less than half hours drive from a city. Pull up the stakes without going far and hightail it on 80 West to Salt Lake for a weekend of cultural fun.
Epic pastry spread at the Grand Americas Sunday brunch
When the air is still a bit crisp in Park City, the Grand America Hotel is my go-to lodging choice in warmer temps of Salt Lake City. Currently, if you book a room for $279, you get a $100 credit toward fine dining, the spa, or a little something something from the Shops at the Grand. Grand America also offers childrens amenities and babysitting so mom and dad can have some alone time. Plus, you get a token to exchange for a kids gift upon check-in.
Little known fact: Salt Lake City has fantastic ethnic eats. A welcoming immigration policy means lots of international food options, from Vietnamese to Ethiopian. Eat all the hummus at Mazza, enjoy the best sushi at the stunning Takashi, or try Korean at Myung Ga. And dont miss the all-you-can-eat Grand America Sunday Buffet with seven cooking stations.
With the money you save taking a staycation instead of a vacation with a pricey airline ticket, you can probably afford to take two weekend trips right in your own backyard. Not only will a Park City staycation give you the proper dose of relaxation, it will also give you renewed appreciation for our slice of Paradise in the Wasatch.

Park City Isnt Just A Winter Wonderland Despite Its Reputation As A Ski Town Park City Offers Amazing Year
Summer is a great time to visit Park City. While the summer sun scorches lower elevations, the alpine climate in this mountain retreat can easily be 10-15 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than the Salt Lake Valley. Add amazing attractions and sumptuous lodging, and you have the makings of an unforgettable summer getaway. A common local saying is, I came for the winter but stayed for the summer. Heres a list of our favorite things to do during the summer months.
1. Savor Wine & Cheese at a Free Wednesday Night Deer Valley Concert
There are amazing free concerts on nearly every day of the week each summer. On Wednesday nights, that means an outdoor experience at the Deer Valley Resort Amphitheater. While the music itself is more than enough reason to stop by, the real treat comes in bringing along a picnic basket or cooler full of wine and cheese, or whatever your preference, to accompany your outing. Bringing in your own food and alcohol is completely acceptable.
Pack in your own blanket and basket for a scrumptious feast and fantastic entertainment. Or, if you dont want the hassle of preparing your own meal, Deer Valley offers their own baskets. Just make sure to make arrangements ahead of time.
2. Brunch or Dinner at Silver Star Café
3. Hike Armstrong Trail
4. Go for a Last Friday Gallery Stroll
5. Get Active at Utah Olympic Park
6. Get Silly at the Park Silly Sunday Market
7. Bike the Mid-Mountain Trail
8. Indulge Yourself at World-Class Spas
