I Feel Like We Paid More Than What It Was Worth The Room

I feel like we paid more than what it was worth, the room was tight fitting 5 people and the shower never got warm, we went a week with cold showers! The walk to Disney is fine but Im not sure Ill do it again.

I was pleasantly suprised with the quality of the hotel and room. I had stayed at many hotels near Disneyland and this is now a new top favorite. It is great for views of DCA from the back side of the hotel. You can see into the park which is cool. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was okay. It is what you would expect from this type of hotel. I would recommend it for how close of a walk it is to the front gate. Overall nice property and I would like to stay again.

Where To Stay In Los Angeles In The Heart Of Tinseltown

Visitors wanting to be in the heart of Hollywood will find an abundance of places to stay along Santa Monica Boulevard in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, many of which cater to children and families, including the famed Beverly Hills Hotel.

The location is ideal for sightseeing. It’s near many of the most famed locations in Los Angeles, including Melrose Boulevard and Rodeo Drive, and the nearby Hollywood Walk of Fame. West Hollywood is also convenient to Universal Studios Hollywood in nearby Universal City.

There are closer accommodations to Universal Studios, including two mid-priced hotels on property that offer shuttle service: the Hilton Universal City and the Sheraton Universal Hotel. Both are a short walk to the entrance of Universal Studios and and CityWalk. The Sheraton is a little further away and down a steep hill.

Tropicana Inn And Suites

Tropicana Inn and Suites has a location that cannot be beat it is right across the street from Disneyland. With a variety of rooms and suites to choose from some suites with full kitchens there are plenty of options to accommodate any size family.

From the street it looks deceptively small, but the hotel stretches back very far. Motel style, you can drive back after check-in and park close to your room. Rooms are fairly basic, but decorated with sunny palm trees for a nice California theme.

One thing we didnt love is the motel-style layout puts the pool right in the center of the parking lot, meaning you have to walk between cars and watch for traffic to get from your room to the pool. But the pool itself is very nice. And when you consider how close this hotel is to theme parks, it is easy to overlook this detail! The Tropicana is one of the closest and best hotels near Disneyland.

Courtyard By Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance

On-site amenities: Water park and pool complex, restaurant, market, fitness center

Pros: Rooms have outdoor terraces, many of which offer views of theme park fireworks.

Cons: This hotel is typically as expensive as a Disney hotel. Parking is valet only, and also pricey.

The Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance is, as the name implies, only a five-minute walk to the parks.

A massive water park is on-site with six slides and is a draw in its own right, and family-centric rooms with bunk beds have helped make it a top choice for families. However, all those amenities don’t come cheap, and it’s only slightly less expensive than Disney’s official offerings. It’s a good option for those who prefer to show Marriott loyalty or to consider when Disney prices start to skyrocket.

The Disneyland Resort is home to the original Disneyland Park, which has been a favourite among locals and visitors alike for over half a century. The resort is divided into two theme parks with the original being Disneyland and its sister park, Disney California Adventure, opening back in 2001. Once at the resort, all things Disney are accessible by foot but there are various modes of transport like monorails, taxis, bikes and other forms that can take you to all corners of the resort. Disneyland is conveniently close to a number of Southern Californian airports like LA International Airport, Ontario, Long Beach and John Wayne and the district is well-policed, which makes it very safe.

Disneyland is home to more rides than the California Adventure and are generally more suited to the older rider though there are plenty of rides for the younger and smaller generations. The themed lands at Disneyland are divided into eight sections and include Main Street, New Orleans Square, Fantasyland, Mickeys Toontown, Adventureland, Frontierland, Critter Country and Tomorrowland. Main Street focuses on Walt Disneys childhood town, Marceline, with a railroad, a cinema on the history of the place and various vehicles on show.
