Was Visiting For A Specific Event So Not
Was visiting for a specific event , so not much time for sightseeing. Did go to Mall of America and a casino, but not much else. Many of the key “attractions” were outdoors and the weather was a bit too cold and rainy for exploring the river and related sights. Even the locals didn’t have much to offer by way of recommendations. I enjoyed the variety and quality of the restaurants.
Is Minneapolis A Walkable City
Downtown West in Central Minneapolis is walkable, especially in the winter due to the Skyway, which is a set of enclosed, heated bridges. If a walkable area is important to you, consider staying in Downtown West. You can use public transit to get around if you plan on visiting other areas in Minneapolis. The Mall of America was a great day trip and St. Paul is another place close by to visit as well. I like the various attractions and history of the city to explore. There were so many parks it appears the town appreciates biking, greenscapes and physical activity accesibility for it’s citizens
Downtown East For Us Bank Stadium Events
Next on the list for where to stay in Minneapolis is Downtown East. This location is central and developed around the nearby US Bank Stadium. Known as Downtown East, this neighborhood has completely changed since the old Metrodome left the scene.
