Hotel Or Vacation Rental
Before you book your stay in Myrtle Beach, you need to ask yourself a few questions, such as:
- How much time do you plan to spend in your hotel room?
- Do you want to be able to cook meals or will you primarily eat out?
- Will you be vacationing with just your family or are your kids bringing friends too?
- How important is a common area separate from a sleeping area?
- Do you want an oceanfront view?
- Do you prefer external access to your room or internal access?
- How important are on-site amenities, like restaurants or an arcade?
If you are looking for a true escape, arent traveling with a large party and dont plan on eating or hanging out in your room much, you may choose to opt for a hotel.
But if you are traveling with friends or family, plan to eat at least a meal or two each day on-property and dont plan to do as much off-site, you may want to look into a vacation rental property.
Its equally important to ask your teenagers these questions as well. I found when my kids were smaller, they liked doing a lot of activities while on vacation. As theyve gotten older, theyd rather spend all day at the beach or pool. While they do like to do something fun after dinner, it might be something as simple as getting ice cream before coming back to the room to watch a movie.
Case in point: dont assume anything when traveling with teens. Why kill yourself planning every minute of your day when they may be wanting to relax by the water as much as you do?
Where Are The Best Cheap Hotels In Myrtle Beach
Where you stay in Myrtle Beach depends on your budget, personal taste, and vacation goals. The north end is considered more contemporary, with the south end has older properties that may feel more dated and run down.
Ocean Boulevard is the main drag that runs parallel to the beaches with busy spots around Wither Heights and Yaupon Circle. For something quieter, a few blocks back from the ocean are refined residential areas with hotels dotted around the country clubs and golf courses.
There are many gated resorts from brands such as Marriott that feature expansive grounds filled with pools and even small water parks.
Play Miniature And Grown
Myrtle Beach is renowned as the Miniature Golf Capital of the World. Of course, putt putt isnt just for kids. If you want to get in on the fun, head to Hawaiian Rumble. Listen to mellow tunes by Hawaiian musicians as you play 18 holes in a tropical garden with a 40-foot faux volcano centerpiece.
The citys mini courses arent the only places to swing a club. In fact, Myrtle Beach is home to more than 80 full-sized golf courses. Want to hit the links? Help With Myrtle Beach Hotels For Young Adults
I am interested in vactioning to Myrtle Beach the first week of August. Im looking for a hotel on the beach and in walking distance to attractions and fun. I will have a group of people all in their mid 20s. Im wanting something that has a pool with a bar and is more for young adults. I dont have necessarily have a budget but would like for it to stay around 2500. Can anyone give me some suggestions on where to stay. I would like to have a 2 bedroom 2 bath also. Thanks.
You have to look at the Breakers, Camelot, Dayton House, Best Western Carolinian and Holiday Inn Pavilion. All of these will put you close to many attractions, Boardwalk, Piers, Skywheel, Ripleys, Slingshot, outdoor concerts and Broadway at the Beach . It will also allow you to walk to more then a dozen restaurants and numerous bars. You will have to take a cab to Broadway at the Beach, which has many clubs, bars & restaurants but these are the closest oceanfront resort to it. You will love the location and the action and most if not all have onsite Tiki Bars. Good luck
Edited: 9 years ago
At most places there will be tons of families with kids in early August.
Quite a few resorts don’t rent to anyone under 25, so choose the oldest member of your group to make the reservations. However, you’re more likely to be among people your age if you stay at a resort that doesn’t have this age requirement.

We Cant Wait To Go Back Next Year
We had a lot of fun. No problems to check in or get situated in our room. Place was clean, housekeeping was good, we had kids from toddler to teen so housekeeping was good to help or go around us when and where needed. Asked for extra towels and got extra towels. All staff all around was great and friendly fast service from front desk to bar to laundry. Pools were kept clean everyday since everyone would go from beach water to sand to pool. Good place to stay with kids. The parking was not checked so we had a hard time some nights when others would take up two spots to avoid their cars from being hit but would inconvenience others.
