San Ignacio Best Neighbourhood In Belize For Families

San Ignacio is a small town in the Cayo district of Belize close to the Guatemalan border. It is famous for its proximity to renowned Mayan ruins and it is a hub for outdoor activities and adventures. Thanks to its central location, it is an excellent base for taking day trips and exploring various parts of the country.

This is also my top pick for families that want to visit Belize. It boasts a rich and interesting history and a diverse blend of backgrounds, making it one of the most unique parts of the country. Here you can enjoy a variety of foods, cultural activities, and all-ages outdoor adventures.

Staying in San Ignacio means adventure, relaxation and an enjoyable holiday but only if you book the right accommodation. Your place can be the make or break of your trip, so choose wisely. Since its a very peaceful area, its incredibly suited for families.

Hostels and Hotels often dont have rooms that can accommodate more than 4 people at a time, so if youre travelling with your family, renting a whole Airbnb apartment might be the smartest option.
