Where To Stay In Capitol Hill

Best Places to Visit in Woodinville Washington – Seattle Suburb 4K

Capitol Hill is one of the most populated neighbourhoods in Seattle and is very busy as a result. But that makes it even cooler, thanks to its vibrant quarters. Accommodation fills up very quickly. Book early and be prepared to use public transport. But it will all be worth it as this area is legendary for sure.

Capitol Hill Luxury Apartments

One Day Woodinville Wine Tasting Itinerary

  • Get brunch at the Commons. I recommend the breakfast sandwich and mimosa flight. Since they do not take reservations, plan to walk around and kill some time.
  • Visit Chateau Ste Michelle winery. Drive down the street to the beautiful Chateau Ste Michelle winery. Get in line for their complimentary tour and tasting. Enjoy the grounds and great wine.
  • Head to Columbia winery. Cross the street to Columbia for another tasting and lunch. Since Columbia offers food, order a cheese plate or flatbread for a midday snack. Order a flight with your meal and relax.
  • Shop downtown Woodinville. Between all the wineries are charming local shops to visit and take a break from drinking.
  • Go to Delille tasting room. For the final winery of the day, visit the new DeLille tasting room and enjoy their award-winning wines.
  • Dinner at Vivi Pizzeria. To wrap up a busy day, enjoy a pizza dinner at Vivi pizzeria then turn in for the night. I recommend the brie pizza for a cheesy, unique take on pizza.

    Pm: Stop 4 Grapeworks Distilling

Grapeworks is a state of the art distillery that aims to create great unconventional spirits. Here you will find single varietal vodka and brandy made from Riesling, Chenin Blanc, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris grapes. Plus

something called Grape Spirits which is described as neither a vodka or a brandy. It is not aged in oak and yet it has too much flavor to be considered a vodka.

Intrigued? Well so are we! Unfortunately, we didnt know about Grapeworks the last time we did a Woodinville tour but we wanted to add it into this itinerary becausewell, who doesnt want to try some grape spirits? We hope to get there soon and will update this itinerary with our personal experience.

Am: Stop 1 Brian Carter Cellars

Brian Carter Cellars was voted Washingtons Winery of the Year in 2015 and their solid wines are a big part of the reason why.

Brians passion for winemaking stems from his early love of science where he became fascinated with the fermentation process and production of yeast. This fascination eventually led him to become a top consulting premium winemaker for a series of wineries before starting his own successful winery in 2006. Brian is a master and lover of the blend and is known for his intoxicating European style blends and you really cant leave without trying the yummy Port-style Opulento.

The charming, unpretentious, little yellow tasting room makes you feel right at home and the deck with views of the valley and Mount Rainier beckon you to stay awhile so be sure to bring a camera.
