Hotel The Venetian Las Vegas
Thehotel is located in the north of The Strip, but is so surrounded by casinos and nightlife that it feels like the epicenter. It is connected to its sister property, The Palazzo, by the Grand Canal Shoppes and it is possible to walk to most places, or take one of the convenient buses that stop outside. Given the glorious aesthetic, even the short wait in the lobby to register felt like part of a visit to the museum, and the impeccable training of hospitality of the staff was a joy.
The most celebrated installation in the place is, of course, the Grand Canal itself, and guests can slip into authentic gondolas between Venetian street scenes and under the bridges, serene by the pilot’s operability. The options of shops and restaurants found in the Grand Canal Shoppes range from the high-end to the populist, and the complex also houses the ultra-decadent Canyon Ranch Spa Club.
There are about 4,000 suites on the property, which gives you an idea of its scale. Even the entry-level luxury suites, however, did not feel like a generic, generic room production line. The sunken living room is the most luxurious touch and is adorned with the dark purples of the velvet sofas, the large padded headboards and the bright marble countertops. You can curl up in your ridiculously comfortable bed and direct the blinds and curtains controlled by remote control.

In the old days, the casinos along Las Vegass legendary Strip were cut-throat rivals. Each stood a long way back from the road, and was a dark, low-ceilinged labyrinth, in which it was all but impossible to find an exit. During the 1980s, however, visitors started to explore the Strip on foot. Mogul Steve Wynn cashed in by placing a flame-spouting volcano outside his new Mirage. As the casinos competed to lure in pedestrians, they filled in those daunting distances from the side walk and between each casino and the next.
With Las Vegas booming in the 1990s, gaming corporations bought up first individual casinos, and then each other. The Strip today is dominated by just two colossal conglomerates, MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment. Each owns a string of neighbouring casinos. Once you own the casino next door, theres no reason to make each a virtual prison. The Strip has therefore opened out, so that much of its central portion now consists of pedestrian-friendly open-air terraces and pavilions housing bars and restaurants.
Bemused by the options and wondering where to stay in Las Vegas? From the new PocketRough Guide Las Vegas, weve selected eleven of the best options on The Strip and beyond.

Why You Need To Go To Fremont Street
A recent survey by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority shows that 42% of Vegas visitors came downtown. Understandable in respect to the cheap $10 and under meals and cheap hotels.
Fremont Street is one of the main areas famed for the Viva Vision Light Show, and the food too has a light-so to speak. To give you a little history lesson, Fremont Street was the jewel of Vegas in the early 90s, and it is where all the gambling and hotel experience boomed from before vacating to the Strip.
Over the years, the glory is steadily resuming downtown. The restaurants and hoteliers here put deals to attract visitors who wish to save big by eating good cheap food to aid the effort of revitalizing Fremont Street.
Play Your Cards Right
The Vegas skyline is a truly unique sight, as the themed Casinos of the citys main strip create a fascinating architectural jumble, from the modern MGM Grand, to the traditionally European Venetian. In addition to the slot machines and card tables, many hotels in Las Vegas are based in these impressive buildings, alongside bars, clubs, theatres and gourmet restaurants.

Best Old School: Flamingo
While many of Vegass top casinos attract buzz by looking to the future, the three-star Flamingo is planted firmly in the past just the way its patrons like it. Opened by mobster Bugsy Siegel in 1946, the hotel remains true to its vintage Vegas roots, despite a recent renovation and current ownership by Caesars Entertainment. Not only does the Art Deco resort have a Miami-flavored theme, but its marquee show forgoes the current pop charts in favor of headlining 70s icons Donny and Marie Osmond. With a spectacular location just across from Caesars Palace, steps from The Cromwell, and close to the Paris, its also well-positioned for perfect views of the Bellagio fountains from some of its strip-side rooms.
Despite the classic vibe, the hotel has recently undergone renovations, meaning GO and Flamingo Rooms are clean, spacious and bright, with amenities like a fridge, coffee maker, and bathroom mirror TV and some featuring automatic drapes although travelers complain about non-renovated rooms elsewhere. Restaurants include Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville, and theres also a buffet and classic old Vegas steakhouse called Center Cut with a retro theme. Guests can enjoy time by the 21+ pool with entertainment from go-go dancers and DJs, get pampered at the spa and salon, or book tee-time at nearby golf courses Rio Secco and Cascata Golf. Wi-Fi is free and parking is available for a fee.
To Save Money On Drinks Play Slots On The Casino Floor
I got this tip from Nomadic Matt. To save money on drinks, pop a squat on a penny or nicely slot machine and play slowly. In no time a waitress will come around providing you with free drinks. Be sure to drink quickly and tip nicely and youll be on your way to at least 5 free drinks.
Then you can head to the nightclub without having to pay those ridiculous drink prices.

For travelers on a budget, or for those who simply want to save their money for the casinos, several inexpensive motels are located around the airport, with rooms generally available for under $80 per night .
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino can offer your bachelorette party a perfect balance of several different types of amenities. You can enjoy wild swimming pool areas, some craft beer at the Center Bar, and some grooming and pampering at the Reliquary Spa. This is a great way for your party guests to relax and enjoy each others company as good friends.
The Palazzo is a resort hotel with a feminine style to it. The hotel is within close proximity to many nearby luxuries, so you should make Palazzo the central base of your bachelorette party. Then have the guests treated to a relaxing spa treatment at the Canyon Ranch Spa. If your girlfriends like to swim, then all guests of the Palazzi can join the Aquatic Club where you can have a wild time at the swimming pools.
Overall, the hotel is ideal for women who like a sophisticated environment which caters to femininity.

We Usually Stay At A Hotel Near Fremont Street Because It Is
We usually stay at a hotel near Fremont Street because it is less crowded than the Strip. Entertainment is free, sometimes even major recording artists perform for free, and alcohol prices are more reasonable than the Strip. WHITE CASTLE is in Vegas. If you want to stay on the Strip, use the Monorail train to go from one end to the other and spend your time walking between the hotels.Definitely see at least one show when you go to Vegas there are discount ticket booths that can help save you money.

To begin with I love the fact that they offer Texting communtication. Its easy and fast. The location is just 1/2 a block from the Fremont St. experience. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. The rooms have everything we needed. They have a night club on the weekends which can be loud so if noise bothers you then you might request a room away from the club, other than that we love it. By the way I have to mention that the girl at the front desk Alexis is very kind and has excellent customer service skills!
