Belltown is a neighborhood just north of Downtown that is full of food, drinks, shopping, and more. It is one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Seattle, so its a great area to stay in if you prefer to explore on foot.

Enjoyed The Underground Tour

Enjoyed the Underground tour Seattle space needle monorail to Chihuly and space needle harbor tour walking around Pikes market very close to everything under construction in most areas to create a pedestrian walkway to market area, harbor cruises, etc. Very steep hills to navigate from port areas to other streets so those with mobility issues will have some challenges though there are a few elevators to first street up from market. After that it is difficult to walk around.

The Graduate Seattle is in the middle of the University District just a 10-minute stroll from the University of Washington main campus. It is a quirky deco-style tower with the most amazing rooftop bar cheerfully named the Mountaineering Club because of the breathtaking views.

The cool boutique hotel is an ever-so-slightly mad ruched-velvet and mahogany art deco explosion wrapped in a tartan blanket and splashed with the sporting purple of Washington University Huskies. It is budget-priced eccentricity for the bon-vivant of unusual quirky-cool designed as an island of fun in a sea of academia.

Hike To Rattlesnake Ledge For An Epic View

Hotel Hotspots: Seattle Weekend Getaway

If you want to escape the city and get your heart pumping, Rattlesnake Ledge hike might be right up your alley. This 5-mile round trip trek has nearly a 1,500 foot elevation gain and offers spectacular views of the lake below.

Just a 40-minute drive from downtown Seattle to the parking lot, this hike can easily be done in half a day.

Be prepared to share the trail with others, as this is one of the most popular day hikes near Seattle.

Its worth noting that there are a few viewpoints, the first being the most crowded by far. If you continue on to the upper lookout, you have a good chance of finding solitude.

We were there on a very busy Saturday in the summer, and we had the upper viewpoint completely to ourselves for a while. It was definitely worth the extra few minutes of hiking.

Before you go: Find the current trail conditions on the Washington Trails Association website and the hiking notes on the All Trails app.
