What People Are Saying About Yellowstone River Campground
Beautiful park with lots of green spaces and cool old farm equipment scattered around the grounds. Pool was pretty clean but cold and spa needed some tile cleaning! But it was not crowded and I was the only one there! Saw 3 deer right in the park and walked around the beautiful grounds with my 2 dogs. The staff were very friendly and the park was immaculate. Cute, helpful sigge throughout. Lisa, Google Review

Billings Symphony Orchestra And Chorale Billings Montana
The Billings Symphony Orchestra and Chorale was founded in May of 1951 as the Billings Symphony Society, but no matter what it has been called, the aim has always been the same: To enrich lives through music. There are over 135 members of the BSO& C who are led by Music Director Anne Harrigan, and each year they come together to perform and share their love of music with patrons from Montana, Wyoming, and all over the US.
The annual season from September through June includes subscription concerts, chamber performances, and annual holiday favorites such as Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Ballet and a New Year’s Eve concert featuring Rockapella. A fantastic BSO& C event for the family is the annual Symphony in the Park event which is going on its 44th year – the event brings together the largest concert in the area in part with Explore Music! and introduces people to live, symphonic music. Visitors are urged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and enjoy the music and picnic fare under the big Montana sky.

Pictograph Cave State Park Billings Mt
Wondering through the loop trail through the Cave State Park, visitors cannot help but wonder about the lives of prehistoric Montana residents that drew colorful cave paintings or pictographs more than 2,000 years ago.
The Pictograph, Middle and Ghost caves that make up the park were a home or a camp site to a group of hunters who left more than 30,000 artifacts and animal bones in all three caves and about 100 paintings on the walls of the Pictograph cave. Most drawings depict animals. The park around the caves is great for hiking and has a pleasant picnic facility. A modern Visitors Center offers more information on the caves and their exploration.

Medicine Rocks State Park
Medicine Rocks is so unexpectedso mysteriousso strange.and PERFECT. I think one of the odd things about it is that you drive through the flat prairie lands for what seems like forever and then BOOM! There it is!
The clusters of sandstone rocks tower as high as 80-feet in the airand they look like Swiss cheese!
You can climb in them and take photos. There is a short hiking trail, and even camping spots.
I hated seeing so much graffiti, though. The sandstone is very soft, and too many visitors have carved their initials into the mounds. PLEASE dont do this!! These amazing structures are left from the sand deposits of a waterway that ran through the area 63 millions years ago.

Billings To West Yellowstone Via Cody
Would it be practical to route Beartooth Highway, Chief Joseph Scenic b, Cody to West Yellowstone in one day? Would it be better if I routed Beartooth to the North Entrance and then to West Yellowstone?
In my view it is not practical to drive Billings/Beartooth/Cody/West Yellowstone in a full day. There is really no point in going to Cody unless you are going to spend time at the museum complex there.
Here are some drive times:
Billings to Red Lodge – about an hour
Red Lodge to Cooke City/NE entrance of Yellowstone or the intersection of Chief Joseph – about 2.5 hours with no real stops
Chief Joseph to Cody – about 1.5 hours
Cody to Fishing Bridge – about 2 hours
Fishing Bridge to West Yellowstone – about 2 hours
NE entrance to West Yellowstone – about 3 hours
You probably really meant Beartooth to NE entrance not Beartooth to the North entrance.
Many thanks will give Cody a miss this time around. Looks a long enough day going via the north east entrance especially when a few stops are factored in.
