Chapel Hill Is A Beautiful University City
Chapel Hill is a beautiful university city. It’s a wonderful place to walk and gaze at the UNC-Chapel Hill campus . Some fun places to eat, I tried a Mediterranean place on Franklin street. The city has a really nice vibe and atmosphere. Easy to get around on the free city buses. Disadvantage is that it’s on the expensive side and requires some planning. Although the RDU airport serves all three major cities in the area it’s mainly car based so you’ll probably end up getting a rental.

This hotel is beautiful, modern, comfortable & amazingly clean! The staff is very nice and professional. There is an awesome pool, fire pit in the outdoor area with plenty of seating for cooler nights, nice restraunt and bar area with great food, pool table, etc. There is also an excellent complimentary breakfast! I Came To Help My Dad Move Into The New Azalea Estates
I came to help my dad move into the new Azalea Estates retirement community and had a great time visiting Chapel Hill. Folks are friendly and helpful. Lots of great restaurants, campus has so much to offer-I particularly enjoyed the Auckland Art Museum.Ate ate The Rise, Luna, 410, Carrboritos, Als Hamburgers and also bought food at Weaver Street Market and Harris Teeters to fix meals in my room. And when I missed my cats I went to the Cat Cafe on Franklin Street -had a great time.

The Best Place To Stay In Chapel Hill
Plenty of parking, lots of elevators, well above average workout facility, fantastic breakfast, free ice cream, popcorn, coffee & drinks and very accommodating staff are just a few of the reasons we really like staying at the Rizzo Center. The rooms are well-appointed with nice TVs, although they could use some USB plug-ins. The pool is outdoors, but heated. The grounds are gorgeous and the setting is ideal. It’s a large facility, so it’s easy to get lost, but once you get your bearings, it’s very easy to move around. It’s amazing more hotels don’t think to offer a few extra amenities to draw in repeat business. We’ll definitely stay here again.More

Would like to stay in a area where we could walk to food, drinks and fun? Willing to stay close to chapel hill also if needed.
I heard parking is a problem at the Carolina Inn. Is there a Hotel in that area that parking is not a problem. Would like to ablle to leave car at night and walk to eat and have a drink.
The best place to stay in Chapel Hill to be within walking distance of the downtown restaurants, bars, shops, etc… would be The Franklin. If it’s in your price range, it’s a good choice.

I’ve stayed at the Carolina Inn 3 times in the last year and I’ve never had a problem with parking. They do charge for it, but the lots have never been so crowded that I couldn’t get a space.
The Carolina Inn is fine for me, but it is very “Old South”& not to everyone’s taste.

Ive enjoyed traveling to Chapel Hill for years. We come for the music and Franklin Street. Great restaurants and fun places to play pool and pinball! Fun escape from my stressful job. The Mediterranean Deli is our favorite place to eat. We always say we are going to try something else as there so many great restaurants in Chapel Hill/Carrboro..but we love the Med Deli so much we cant stop! The Cave for a beer and game of pool is always on our list and The Nighlight is a must for us for dancing. We enjoy walking around the campus and cemeteries its always so beautiful. We never see our car until its time to leave as you can walk everywhere.
