Located on a slender barrier island, the Isle of Palms is a tropical playground nestled on the Atlantic Ocean and just 12 miles from historic Charleston.

If you are visiting Charleston, we recommend you stay in the Historical District, situated just 20 minutes from the airport. Here you will find many restaurants, fashion boutiques, antique shops, magnificent old houses, art museums, ghost tours, historical tours horse-carriage tours and much more.
The French Quarter is a section of the Historical District with a high concentration of French merchants. In the northernmost limit of this area you will find the Charleston City Market, selling clothes, jewellery, handcrafts, artwork, spices, silver, as well as prints and paintings of the city. Along the River Cooper you will find the beautiful Charleston Waterfront Park, from where you can enjoy a relaxing walk to the White Point Garden, the perfect spot for a picnic. Other interesting and architecturally beautiful places in the Historic Centre are the The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and the Jewish Congregation Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim.
You can use the free trolleybus to get around, which is a great option for tourist tours, not just getting around the city.
