There Is Much To Do In Falmouth
There is much to do in Falmouth. We rode our bikes on the bike path and the roads were generally friendly to bike riders. There were many beaches and Woods Hole was nearby as was the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. We enjoyed the food at LandFall in Woods Hole and Soparano’s. For lunch, definitely go to the Pickle Jar.
Falmouth Is Just Beautiful In September
Falmouth is just beautiful in September. The weather is beautiful, and the beaches are not as crowded as in July and August. The town center has interesting shops and excellent restaurants. I ate at a wonderful Thai restaurant right on Main Street. I both lobster rolls – affordably priced – at Jack in the Beanstalk. I spent an afternoon in Woods Holes, which is only a 10 minute drive. Both the beach at Falmouth Heights and the center of town are in walking distance from Harbor Walk.

We stopped by this location while on the Cape. We were interested in seeing what the place looked like and the set up of the park. We were told we had to look at the pictures online or go look out the clubhouse window. Not much to see and if I wanted to look online I would have…very disappointed.More

Welcome To Shoreway Acres Inn
An inviting alternative to contemporary hotels, our inn is a unique part of the Falmouth community, offering a glimpse of authentic Cape Cod life, past and present.
We are, decidedly and unabashedly, a place where things of the past are not only preserved, but genuinely preferred to the generic atmosphere of many lodging options, today. At ShoreWay Acres, guests will find authenticity in our historic surroundings, in our hospitable staff and in our other guests.
Our family-owned and managed Inn began with nine rooms and two bathrooms in our Worthington House, an historic sea captain’s home built in 1806, and bombarded eight times by the British in the War of 1812. Purchased by the Dineen family in 1959, it was the beginning of a decades-long preservation project on one of Falmouth’s oldest and most historic streets. Today, the Inn offers 80 rooms, some with kitchens… all with private baths and contemporary conveniences of refrigerators, voicemail, etc. Complimentary WiFi in our lobby and public parlor areas. ShoreWay Acres is now comprised of six buildings, four of which were converted from historic homes into B& B style accommodations and two 1960’s hotel and motel buildings, which are well on their way to becoming another part of Falmouth’s “historic” past.
- COMPLIMENTARY FULL HOT BREAKFAST BAR served daily
- Indoor and Outdoor pools
- Spacious grounds, Lawn games, Swings, Garden gazebos, Umbrella tables and BBQ grills
