  This hotel is tucked away, down a winding driveway with trees/bushes which gives you the feeling of being pleasantly isolated from all the highway and road noise. Theres plenty of parking, check-in is friendly and easy. The rooms are a nice size, with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. We visit Lexington often to see our daughter at W& L and have stayed at this hotel before. We usually just need a place to sleep and shower so it meets those expectations fine. Wouldnt hesitate to stay there again.

Driving in the downtown area can be confusing for travelers. There are a few one way streets that drivers need to lookout for, as I just witnessed someone driving the wrong way up one and they were headed straight for an ambulance!

Ah, my time in Lexington was exceptional. The people were friendly and welcoming, whether I was in a local convenience store, or restaurant to pick up food. Even during this pandemic, folks seemed to be pleasant on every turn. One-way streets have always been a bit nightmarish to me, but once I became familiar with the location near my hotel, driving through town was a breeze. The eclectic feel of Lexington was inviting. Hope to have an opportunity to visit again.

Wonderful Size City Very Clean With Active And Lively

Wonderful size city, very clean, with active and lively downtown. Easy to drive around in. We actually took the trip to visit my daughter’s farm in Buena Vista. We highly recommend visiting Woodruff’s Pie and Cafe shop on the way there to have both lunch and leave with a couple of pies as we did. From Lexington, we were about a half hour away from Goshen’s Pass where we were able to sit on some rocks, and get our feet wet in the beautiful Maury River.

We were in town for a wedding, so we didn’t really get to see Lexington or visit around town. But, from what we did see of it. It’s very quaint has a welcoming charm and allot of history. We would like to return to visit and spend some time there. We ate dinner at the Rocca Bar Ristorante located on the 2nd floor of the Robert E. Lee hotel. It was very nice, good food, drinks and desserts. We went in a group of 14 and sat right in the middle. We had a great time and very full stomachs! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The portions were satisfactory too. Highly recommend it.
