County Hall & Waterloo Hotels In London
Very central Good base for sightseeing Not so great for nightlife and shopping Mostly large, luxury 4-star hotels Budget options available Cheaper at weekends and holiday periods
A small cluster of hotels, mostly large luxury 4 star chains by the London Eye. County Hall itself on the riverfront by Westminster Bridge directly facing Big Ben, Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey.
Because of the UK government offices in the area a lot of trade comes from people on government business. At weekends room rates can be attractive given the quality of hotels here.
A fantastic location for the sightseeing orientated visitor, not that close to nightlife or the shops though. Quite convenient for those using Gatwick Airport and those on cruise ships out of Dover and Southampton .

Covent Garden Where To Stay In London For First Time Visitors
Covent Garden is my personal favorite and definitely the best place to stay in London for first time visitors. To me, it is the very heart of authentic London where you can see the living history of the place, wandering around the market seeing many local characters that wouldnt be out of place in an Alan Jay Lerner production.
So many of the main attractions like the National Gallery, Houses of Parliament and the London Eye are walking distance from each other in Covent Garden. If you are into theatre then dont miss visiting The Strand as it has many of the West Ends best theatres including the Savoy, the Adelphi, and Vaudeville.
Shoreditch Coolest Place To Stay In London
Without a doubt, Shoreditch is one of the coolest places to stay in London. Located east of the city centre, this neighbourhood is a hipster haven complete with art galleries, cafes, vintage shops, bars and restaurant. It boasts an exciting mix of informal hangouts that attracts creatives, entrepreneurs and independent spirits from all corners of the city. Shoreditch is perhaps the best area of London to stay in for hipsters.
In addition to being the best neighbourhood to stay in London for hipsters and trendsetters, Shoreditch is also a fantastic shopping destination. Londons Best Family Hotels
- Its very grand but No.11 Cadogan Gardens, the eclectically styled, lavishly decorated luxury boutique hotel just behind Chelsea’s Sloane Square, is a really great London hotel recommendation for families. The family suites are lovely and big, with huge windows, and expansive marble bathrooms, and the hotel, which has been converted from several red brick townhouses, is an exciting warren of secret-feeling passages and surprise public spaces. Theres a library, a drawing room and a terrace, and the restaurant is excellent. Perfect if you or your children appreciate a Murano chandelier!
