Great grounds for nature, kids and dogs but my room at the lodge was very dirty. Grime, hair, brown stain on door, in tub I put down a towel to shower. I put soap n shampoo bottle on top of wash cloth! No deadbolt on door. Plywood 2×4 sticking out from under bed. If they cleaned this place it would be awesome!

I was suppose to stay here three nights but ended up leaving a day early. Because after my child and I walking threw the hotels sewage thinking the grass was just wet from rain until we keeper walking and seen sewage flooding out by the basketball court entrance. No they did not warn us and no there wasn’t any signs.it was so nasty and the hotel just brushing it off like it’s no big deal and not even willing to hurry up and get us towels so we could wash the sewage off are feet or even a were sorry. ruined are vacation so we ended up leaving on the 14th nstead of the 15th of June.

Monteagle has a lot to offer. There are a lot of parks and hiking trails around the area. Just to the southeast you have Chattanooga only 45 minutes away with access to Lookout Mountain and Nickajack Lake. The weather is mild and pleasant even in the middle of Summer. There are Mountains and trees and lots of creeks rivers and lakes. Nashville is a little more of a drive 90 minutes to the north on I-24.

Beautiful Place To Stay In Sewanee/monteagle Location
My family and I stayed at the Monteagle Inn for attending a wedding held at Sewanee. The Inn was kept exceptionally clean and was very quiet. There is an incredible WINE CELLAR on location with reasonably priced wines. The outdoor gardens, courtyard, and hammocks were a great place to relax. The rooms were quiet and the beds were comfortable. The food was very good——–but my only critique is that you have to be there between 8 am and 8:50 am. The guest refreshment area is quite a treat. My only other critique is WATER PRESSURE which I understand is a problem in the entire Sewanee/Monteagle area. However, the quality and service at the inn more than makes up for it.More

This was a fabulous find – one of the best B& B’s I have ever visited. Everything was lovely, ie the room, the common areas, the breakfast room, the grounds, etc. The decor is charming Italian style with oil and watercolor paintings on all the walls, colorful ceramic dinner ware, and tasteful decorations. The host and staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the food is truly gourmet. It is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the ever-available coffee, tea, and homemade cookies. I highly recommend this wonderful place and hope to visit again.
