Places To Stay In New Orleans Airbnb

Historic French Quarter Apartment + Balcony

How Airbnb Is Pushing Locals Out Of New Orleans Neighborhoods

Location: French Quarter

The French Quarter is the heart and soul of Downtown New Orleans, and is the area of the city that visitors primarily flock to the citys major attractions. This Airbnb Plus is the best French Quarter Airbnb in New Orleans in my humble opinion of course! Dating back to the 1820s, this one bedroom apartment is cute and contemporary with rustic wood flooring and exposed brick walls offset against grand chandeliers and fireplaces. World famous Bourbon Street is just around the corner, and it goes without saying that from here, a smorgasbord of dining, drinking, partying and shopping opportunities await you! Worn out from a long day exploring New Orleans? Relax at your Airbnb and make use of the full kitchen and the comfortable bed!

Guest review: We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this Airbnb! It is the *perfect* location within walking distance to Bourbon Street and the surrounding area while being far enough away so as not to be bothered by the late night parties. The interior is beautiful with comfortable beds and elegant design. We had a water pressure issue with the shower when we first arrived but Barrett responded to our text immediately and had a plumber come out to take care of it right away! I would recommend this listing to anyone looking to stay in the heart of the French Quarter!

Is Airbnb Cheaper Than Hotels In New Orleans

That all depends entirely on what sort of rental youre after. Luxury will cost extra. However, average nightly rates in New Orleans Airbnbs will usually be pretty darn attractive, and thats before you factor in what you can save by getting somewhere with self-catering facilities to cook for yourself. Other ways to cut the outgoings in an Airbnb is to go for a pad thats large enough to share the price with your whole travel group, or to book for longer, when you could be in line for discounts of up to 50%.

The one obvious downside of an Airbnb over a hotel in New Orleans is that you wont get the same hands-on hospitality. For that, somewhere like the NOPSI Hotel might be a better choice. Its a sumptuous four-star establishment with a rooftop pool, located in the lively CBD just to the south of the French Quarter.

Whether youre jetting into town to join the wild Mardi Gras parades or just want to sip Sazerac cocktails in the noir honky-tonks, this guide to Airbnbs in New Orleans should have you covered.

When Is The Best Time To Visit New Orleans

For better deals, as well as increased availability, visit during the quieter summer and winter months, when there are fewer crowds and less competition for rooms. Summer will see hot, sticky, humid weather, but that deterrent makes it far more affordable. If you’re set on a peak-season trip to New Orleans, plan to increase your budget or consider only visiting midweek for more affordable rates.
