Would you consider staying at more than one location based on where you’re visiting? If you won’t have a car, this could be a viable option.
Yeah, If not driving and planning on visiting most of the parks iDrive is the place to be.
Rosen at Pointe Orlando& the Avanti are both good value and well located.
Any places much cheaper than them and the rooms can started to get a bit dicey in my experience.

I also say international drive is your best option. We always stay there. Lots of places to eat and a good choice of hotels. You don’t need to split your stay. Seems a waste of time to pack, check out, check in, unpack etc… When you could use that day having fun.
“Best” is subjective. Are you going to concentrate on Disney or Universal? They are about 10-15 miles apart.
