While there is an outdoor porch facing the sea, youll probably be spending most of your time on the beach itself. Its a great place to travel with children, as the public beach is manned by a professional lifeguard at all times. And dont worry about Fido either pets are more than welcome to roam the beach as long as they are leashed.

It is perfectly legal to enjoy alcoholic beverages on the beaches on the Outer Banks, but it is certainly no free-for-all. For one, glass containers are a real big no-no on the beaches. Thats because they can break, get lost in the sand, and become a real danger to the people using the beach including yourself.
