Best Area To Stay In Sarasota
We have 1 weeks timeshare exchange to Calini Beach Club in Siesta Key and have a search on for another week in the same place. If we don’t get the other exchange we are considering staying a week in Sarasota.
We’d like to be in walking distance to Main Street where I’ve read there’s lots of places to visit and things to do. I’ve seen a few places on Laurel Street and Burns Court areas and would be grateful for advice on these and other areas that would suit us. Thanks.
How much do you want to spend per night?
What type of lodging are you looking for?
What types of things do you enjoy doing?
We don’t want to spend more than $1000 inc tax for the week. I’ve seen some beautiful properties less than this at the likes of Village de Pins but it seems a good bit farther from the centre. Southside Village is somewhere that looks interesting. Is that walkable?
We definitely want to visit Selby Gardens but suppose there will be a car park there if too far to walk. We’d like to have lunch in the city which would include wine hence the reason not to use the car. I’d also like to go to any markets and other local events that are on while there.
Edited: 6 years ago
You will need a car to get to most places. Selby gardens has a parking lot as does Ringling Museum etc.
