I planned to stay for 2 days in the cabin supplied which was fully stocked with a proper kitchen and utensils, being slightly off the highway on route 17, it was relatively quiet. The Bed and bedroom was comfortable the bathroom was also very clean, as was the Kitchen and appliances.I’d happily stay there again.Although I did not make use of the leisure amenities it seemed many guests did so.The staff were also very pleasant.

The boardwalk across the parking lot and along the St Marys river and attached park area was nice except for the major amount of goose droppings, hotel is dated and not in the best area of town, got limited amount of sleep due to very noisy ventilation system that constantly came on through out the night!

Walking distance to Queen street and the water where we found a number of terrasses. The frond desk personnel were super friendly and helpful and the Covid breakfast was the best! Coffee, your choice of muffin or bagel, orange juice, yogourt, Apple too many hotels get away with the minimum, blaming Covid but this place made a real effort for their customers! Appreciated!

There are a lot of one way streets and this hotel is entered from a side street that isnt clearly marked, the front of the hotel is on a one way street and not being familiar with Sault St. Marie its easy to get confused finding the entrance. The room we were given had a bad smell like unwashed clothes the chair and carpets needed to be cleaned badly. When we complained we were given another room. For the price we paid it wasnt the best place to stay. We were just passing through so we didnt do much in the Sault St. Marie.

Hotel Ojibway is right next to the Soo Locks and makes it easy to park and walk everywhere. Be sure to go to the Observation Tower several blocks away for an amazing 360 degree view of the locks area. It is fun to see the big ships. We also enjoyed the Crepe restaurant for breakfast. At the edge of the US , Sault Ste Marie is a small town that revolves around the locks connecting the Great Lakes. Im not a gear head, but loved the Soo Locks, as well as the freighter museum Try to watch a big ship passing through the locks. Great education for kids! Also great food at Lockview restaurant and Zorbas Greek restaurant. Bring a jacket as it can get cold and windy even in summer.
