Love The Proximity To Great Hiking

Love the proximity to great hiking! Sisters is so walkable & easy walking access to the entire town. We have our favorite restaurants-best Mexican food in town is at the little walkup place in the Space Age Fuel gas station! Coffee joint-Sister Coffee Co. Always get in lots of walking even if we’re just wandering around town, we try to visit Sisters at least 2-3X/year as a wonderful weekend getaway.

Romantic Getaways In Oregon Perfect For Honeymoons

Oregon, in my opinion, is an underrated state with a lot to offer. While Portland is well known for the rugged coastlines that stretch for 363 miles, scenic mountains, sandy deserts, hot springs, waterfalls, and old forests are sometimes hidden gems and an afterthought. Another great thing about the state is that it doesnt take an entire days drive to make it from rough coastlines to pretty mountains so you can choose several destinations to include in one romantic trip to offer.

    When To Visit Oregon

Oregons part of the country, the Pacific Northwest often gets a bad rep when it comes to weather. What most dont know is that Oregons climate varies depending on season and location. In summer, there are plenty of tourists because of the warm weather. If youre not so worried about your tan and would rather explore the mountains, fall is the best time to visit. The leaves are changing and the crisp air makes for the perfect hiking conditions.

As for winter, most of the state gets pretty cold and snow isnt uncommon. Experts say that September is the best month to visit. With the combination of warm weather, not very much rain, and thinner crowds, youll have your pick of outdoor activities and scenic views. If you cant make it in September, any other season will be just as adventurous in Oregon. Just remember to come prepared!

Think You Know Oregon Think Again

Oregon is not the biggest state in the Union, not by far. But venture east of the Cascades into High Desert country and it can certainly seem that way. Gigantic open spaces where the skies open up and the infinite wild west claims you as one of their own. Going off the beaten path in Oregon holds a promise that will fulfill and excite you.

There are millions of acres of untouched wilderness. The Mount Hood region alone has so many hidden pockets of dense forest, sparkling lakes, and remote mountains where the wildlife go months or even years without seeing a single human in their midst.

Granted, there are a ton of things to do around the state, but most people wouldnt think to go further than Portland, the coast, or Mount Hood.

We had a very nice experience at our stay at the Bell Sister Flats. It had all the nice amenities and was centrally located in the old historic part of town. We were on town over the weekend and stayed two nights. The owners, Terry and Paul, did a fantastic job of remodeling and updating the flat that we stayed in and were very accommodating hosts.
