For the best ceviches and aguachiles, this is the spot to head to. They have a nice outdoor seating area and truly the best aguachile Ive had outside of Mazatlan.
If you order a single tostada de aguachile, it is served inside a big clamshell . It is piled so high and served along with two tostadas. After sharing that, Luke and I also had two tacos each and that was more than enough food.
The tacos are good too, but we went back again and again for the aguachile.

Stop By Hotel California
While youre walking downtown, dont miss a stop at hotel California. While the Eagles lead singer Don Henley has denied the urban legend that this is where he got inspired to write the hit song Hotel California, it still is such a lovely place. Walk through the arches, up on the rooftop for a view over town, or grab lunch at the restaurant La Coronela.
Casa Bentley 5 Star Boutique Hotel In Todos Santos
This only of a kind hotel was built by Bob Bentley, a lifelong geologist who decided to build his small hotel of stone and precious gems. Yes there are gems embedded in the walls. The walls of the rooms and bathrooms also include ceramic art of whales and sea turtles, etc. and you will love the plants and running water in the gardens. Bobs property includes one of the tiny creeks that run through Todos Santos, it includes, bamboo groves, trees and flowers, fountains, a stone pool, etc. It is extremely hard to book especially in February but it is our number 2 recommendation.Add $25 USD per person/per night

Overview Of Todos Santos Hotels
Todos Santos is an ideal destination for couples, solo travelers who dont want to deal with the craziness of Cabo, surfers, & girls getaways ~ particularly if you love shopping for beautiful Mexican art or textiles ! When we were there, in July 2021, town was shutting down quite early ~ by about 7:30 or 8PM, which is a sharp contrast to Cabo. If youre looking to surf and/or shop during the day, eat some GREAT tacos & Mexican food, & soak in a more authentic, historic vibe than is offered in Cabo: Todos Santos will be a great fit for you.
But is Todos Santos safe?? In my experience, it felt 100% safe here my friend Kadi & I both ventured out solo into town & had zero qualms about it. I definitely felt less safe & more on guard in neighboring Cerritos Beach.

Baja Fish Tacos: Taqueria El Parguito
Considered the best fish tacos in the area, El Paraguito makes legit tacos with great tortillas, freshly-battered fish and all the fixins. Theyre only open until 3PM so be sure to plan accordingly.
Cevecheria: El Compa Chava
Locals are often divided as to whether their favorite cevecheria in Todos Santos is El Compa Chava or Bahia. We suggest you go to both and decide for yourself however, were partial to El Compa Chava because of its ceviche tostadas and the descondido ceviche, which is made with the fresh catch of the day.

Hike To The Top Of Punta Lobos
Turn down the same dirt road that takes you by Hotel San Cristobal, and youll get to Punta Lobos. This is the spot where all the local fisherman launch their panga boats, so the corner of the beach can smell pretty strongly of fish. Ive read that you can hire a guide to take you fishing from here, but we went to Punta Lobos for a short hike.
At the very edge of Punta Lobos is a hill you can climb up for an amazing view. The trail is not marked, narrow and kind of hard to see at first, but we just started climbing up the rocks on the south side of the beach. We found the little trail that goes straight up the hill. Youll reach a small part that levels out before the trails starts going around the back side of the hill. The trail is still narrow and youre basically on the edge of a cliff, so I wouldnt recommend taking small children on this hike .
We did a little scrambling to get to the very top. The views were absolutely incredible! But beware, there are tons of spider webs up here with huge spiders, so every time I took a step I felt like I was about to walk through a web!
Watch For Whales In The Winter
Todos Santos is a great spot to see migrating humpback whales and gray whales during the winter. The best time to see gray whales is between January and March. They migrate from Alaska every year to the warm, calm waters of sheltered bays and lagoons along peninsula.
Humpback whales can usually be spotted around Todos Santos from October through January, and then again in April.

How To Get To Todos Santos
Todos Santos is located in the southern part of Mexicos Baja Peninsula, on the Pacific Ocean in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains.
Most people fly into Los Cabos airport , which is about 110 km or 1.5 hours away. La Paz also has an airport that is slightly closer, but youll most likely find the best deals into Los Cabos.
We took a direct flight with Southwest from LAX to Los Cabos, and used our Southwest companion pass, a perk of signing up for the Southwest Rapid Rewards credit card. This offer isnt always available, but its definitely worth signing up for the card if you get the companion pass.
Once youve arrived at the airport, there are several ways to get to Todos Santos. I highly recommend renting a car to get to Todos Santos and explore the surrounding area once youre there. Theres not much public transit, taxis or Uber around Todos Santos. Plus, a car rental gives you the freedom to take a few day trips around Baja California Sur and explore places off the beaten path. If you do not want to rent a car, there is a private bus by Eco Baja Tours that runs several times a day between the SJD airport and the Todos Santos town center. A one way ticket costs about $18 and takes a little over 1.5 hours.

We were looking for a few quiet and relaxing days near the beach with a beautiful view and the calming sound of ocean waves, and the place was absolutely perfect for that! The large terrace with fireplace was perfect for watching sunset and sunrise, and observing whales migrate south along the shore was an unexpected bonus. Hoping to come back again soon!

Cerritos Beach Inn sits on the brilliant blue Pacific ocean and a beautiful white sand beach. Located 10 miles South of Todos Santos BCS & 30 miles North of Cabo San Lucas, Cerritos Beach is known for some of the best surfing on the Baja. It is one of the few safe beaches for swimming between Cabo San Lucas and Todos Santos. The decor is upscale done in Cantera stone, granite, and tile. The artisans at Corazón Zapoteco are keeping alive one of Mexicos most vibrant traditions: Zapotec rug weaving. This colourful practice dates back more than 2,000 years to the ancient Zapotec Indians of Oaxaca. The process remained largely unchanged until the arrival of the Spanish in the 16th century, when weavers began using wool instead of cotton.
