The Place To Stay In Truckee
My spouse and I were on a week long trip and spent three days here as base for skiing Northstar and Squaw Valley. Room and service were excellent. Hot breakfast was provided and was what we needed to start a ski day. Staff were friendly and helpful with all our needs. Next time back in the area this will be at the top of our list for lodging.More

Yes as mentioned by other reviewers they seriously need to fix the hot tub switch, but we did get it to work after trying several times, almost giving up and then having a front desk person come out and try it again…the magic touch I guess, it worked. Next day same procedure onyl this time we tried and tried until finally on that 10th try or whatever it was it worked.Ok so enough about that, the hotel is a nice location, convienent to North and West Lake Tahoe, many restaurants and downtown Truckee is a very short drive.

This is such a great hotel, Ive stayed here many times and its just lovely! On site restaurant is amazing with fresh food, made fresh its just awesome but it is closed Monday and Tuesday so there is a small bar in the lobby . Incredible vibe! The rooms here are European design. So this is fresh all the way around!

This was our second stay at the Cedar House Sport Hotel. Last time we came during winter this time it was a summer visit. We loved our stay. We stayed in the luxury suite with our dog and kids and it was a wonderful experience. The staff is wonderful and easy to communicate with for various needs. The hotel takes Covid precautions, and is clean and modern. We love that they are dog friendly. I also love the eco-friendly approach. The room is comfortable. My only complaint is that the beds were not comfortable. Parking and check-in are very convenient. Great location too. Just a short drive to restaurants and downtown.

The hotel was undergoing upgrades, so need to work around the construction but understandable. I can see it is going to be very nice. The place was very quiet, easy parking, great access. A wonderful stay. The internet was pretty slow not sure why. No tub, just shower but I can understand due to cleanliness. Breakfast was great very nice area with fireplace. Loved the coffee in the lobby and apples. Overall great.More

Very Good Place To Stay In Truckee
You could have fooled me that this wasn’t an upper scale lodge. Very friendly front desk staff. Amazing full breakfast, but get there before 8am to beat the crowds. Rooms are nicely decorated and beds comfortable. The pool and hot tub are heated- we were in it every day only cold getting in/out.I loved the location which is pretty close to everything but away from all the people swarming downtown. Definitely a great place to stay!!

We went to ski at Northstar and this hotel is less than 10-min away by driving. We got a standard 2 Queen bed room. Room size is within the range as most other hotels. This hotel is close to the central Truckee, where you can find many restaurants.

Overall was okay. $400 a night including tax was a bit too much for this place. But I guess it is what it is. Staff were great. Beds are not that comfortable . The fair price for this hotel is not more that $99 a night with single bed. Maybe even that is too much.
