Top Places To Stay In Estes Park

It’s A Fun Town With Lots Of Shops And Restaurants All

The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park Colorado Tour | S5:E10

It’s a fun town, with lots of shops and restaurants all within walking distance of everything. It has a lovely walking trail that follows the Thompson River all through the town. It also has a nice lake and the famous Stanley Hotel as interesting places to visit. Our most surprising eating experience was at the Estes Park Brewery, which had one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Sweet Basilico Italian restaurant also had amazing food! We also had the pleasure of seeing an elk and his family taking a rest along the river as we walked to Sweet Basilico restaurant.

Seasons Inn On Fall River

Just a mile from downtown Estes Park where you’ll find numerous shops and restaurants and 2.5 miles from the Fall River entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, the boutique 4 Seasons Inn on Fall River sits right on the banks of the river.

The charming little property has a mountain rustic vibe, and it does not allow young children to stay, so you won’t be disturbed by screaming children while relaxing at one of the chairs and tables on the grassy lawn by the river or in the large outdoor jetted hot tub.

Rooms are clean and comfortable, with mountain views and lots of wooden accents. All rooms come with mini-ridges, microwaves, and coffee makers. If you are on a romantic getaway and looking for something special, book one of the studio rooms that are self-contained and come with private outdoor hot tubs and picnic tables. These also have small kitchenettes if you want to do your own cooking.

On-site amenities include a sun deck with outdoor furniture, fishing access, a snack bar, and free instant coffee and tea. There is also an outdoor fireplace, BBQ facilities, picnic tables, and 24-hour check in. If you wish to explore on two wheels, bikes can be rented here.

The Local Residents Are Not Prepared For The Visitors To The

The local residents are not prepared for the visitors to the town in the summer. A Park Ranger of RMNP answered my question stating the locals feel that the RMNP is theirs. This is a National Park for the whole Country not just for Coloradans. The food in Estes Park is delicious. From Pizza to Cinnamon rolls-

A Unique Place To Stay In Estes Park If You Dare

The Stanley Hotel. Fans of The Shining will love this historic Estes Park Hotel, famous for being the inspiration for Stephen Kings Overlook Hotel. I always thought that the movie was filmed here in Estes Park, but it appears that the actual hotel used for the film was represented by Timberline Lodge at Mt. Hood in Oregon

Anyway, The Stanley Hotel is an interesting place to visit and they even organize tours. If you are brave enough, why not try the Night Tour and immerse yourself in the story of the hotels history after dark!

While it oozes old-world charm and has a beautiful facade, some of the guest rooms may benefit from a little updating and customer reviews arent great, so Im not sure if this is the best lodging option in Estes Park. But if you are looking for a hotel with history and charm and are lucky to get a room with a view it might be one of the most special places to stay in Estes Park!

Bed In Fire Tower Has 360

For an unforgettable adventure, stay in a fire lookout tower. While this is not near Rocky Mountain National Park , its definitely worth considering if you are up for an adventure.

Drive to a 11,000 feet elevation near Evergreen, Colo. then hike 1 mile and climb up the stairs on the outside of an old fire lookout tower to reach a 14-foot-square room with unobstructed views. Oh yeah theres no water up there so you have to lug your own drinking water up with you. Need to use the bathroom? Climb across a catwalk and down exterior stairs to a privy that gets rid of the evidence with fire. The good news is that there are comfy beds, a heater, and a kitchen for your use.

Unique Places To Stay In Estes Park

This is an article about Estes Park, Colorado. But for me, it really begins in New York City in the year 2004. That was the year I went on my first tour with my band. By early 2007, we were doing cross-country tours over a month long, and going out on the road three or four times a year. My touring life has only just recently settled down, but its not the stuff you easily forget.

So what does that have to do with unique lodgings in Estes Park, Colorado? Perspective. Over the past decade, Ive done a ton of traveling, but instead of staying in traditional accommodations like hotels, Ive had to do a lot of sleeping on friends floors, sleeping on strangers floors, sleeping on buses, sleeping in vans, and , sleeping in really horrible, cheap motels.

In other words, the life of an underground musician is not exactly a rich one, but it does help you appreciate things. When you dont have to crash on someones floor, you shouldnt when you can treat yourself, treat yourself.

So between that, and the fact that I got lucky enough to marry a brilliant woman who loves the outdoors , Estes Park makes for a fantastic destination with spectacular scenery, endless activities, and lodging that goes beyond the average destination.

Here are just a few places to consider when youre planning an Estes Park escape, from luxurious resorts to rustic cabins.
