My son highly recommends Griffin Book Store and the Toy Box. Make sure you allot extra time to deal with the ferries, you need to be there an hour early and they are often running behind.

FH Suites website offered big discount on Day we arrived which FH suites would not honor when we got here. No manager ever on site to discuss. No coffee maker in the room. No breakfast in lobby. No maid service on second day. Had to call for fresh towels. Did not remove used wet towels. Tv reception very bad. No telephone in room. No paper, pencil, or community info available. Decor is bleak. Bathroom sink does not function properly. No manager on site to speak to. Fairly clean. Would never stay here every again. Would never recommend. This place must be dying while fleecing customers and offering limited services. Friday Harbor city itself is delightful bit Friday Harbor Suites does not add anything to the experience. So sad.

The island is pretty big with great trails, beaches, hiking., whale watching and kayaking. Clean! You dont need a car in Friday Harbor but youll need a car to see the rest of the island and its worth it. You could probably bike most of it. Youll come back and see more.
