Staying In Los Cabos Corridor
The twenty-mile stretch of coastal highway between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo is lined with exclusive luxury resorts and features several golf courses. The former natural beauty of the area has been rather blighted by the uncontrolled development, but there are still some wonderful beaches here , including Playa El Médano near Cabo San Lucas and Playa Palmilla near San José del Cabo. Of the beaches, Bahía Santa María is best for snorkeling and diving, Bahía Chileno is great for families, while Costa Azul is the best surfing beach in the area.
The Best Time To Visit Los Cabos
We visited Los Cabos in late November and found the weather to be mostly gorgeous! Aside from one or two days of unseasonably wild rain, we experienced nothing but sun-drenched days and perfect temperatures. It was lovely and warm during the day but not overly hot and sweaty.
The best time to visit is considered to be from November through to June with December through to mid-April being the best time to spot whales and whale sharks. August to October are typically going to be the warmest months with temperatures getting up to 36°C, something Aussies should have no trouble handling.
For surfers, like Matt, the best time of year to visit should be June through to August. Savvy travellers keen to scoop up a bargain might like to consider visiting in August through to October which is typically the low season, meaning fewer tourists and cheaper hotel rates. But, with around 350 days of sunshine per year, you cant really go wrong in Cabo!

Tourist Corridor In Los Cabos
Finally, our last alternative for where to stay in Los Cabos is the Tourist Corridor. Stretching about 30 km on the coast between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, this is a great option for the public who are looking for more luxurious accommodations, such as all-inclusive resorts, for example. Along this long stretch of sand are some of the best and most deserted beaches in Los Cabos. In addition, in some places it is also possible to find some shops and restaurants.
Breweries To Visit When Traveling To Cabo San Lucas
Breweries and brewpub have exploded in Mexico on recent years. One of the originals in Cabo San Lucas is Baja Brewing Company. This is the place to go when you want brews with a burger or pub food. There are a couple of locations but the prime one is on the rooftop of Cabo Villas Beach Resort on Medano Beach. The restaurant has epic beach views and the patio even has water misters for the hot weather and a fire pit when its chilly.

Krystal Grand Los Cabos was built in 2017, and features 429 rooms. The lobby itself is a standout feature, with views that extend beyond a dramatic water-framed plank walkway that leads straight out a massive pool terrace. At check-in, I was greeted by kind and attentive staff, and though there was a long line to check in, I felt instantly at ease knowing the ocean was just beyond the pool.
The hotels all-inclusive rates grant you dining at the propertys four restaurants and two bars, minibar access in the rooms, and access to both pools . For families in particular, theres a massive play area and kids club for children within sight of the larger family pool. For myself, I was more interested in the swim up bar
While you cant swim in the ocean, theres still tons to do. I spent my afternoons getting massages at the onsite spa and reading on the sun loungers out on the beach. Theres a fitness center here as well, but I conveniently forgot during my stay .
My favorite part of the entire property was the VIP rooftop terrace, called the Sky Lounge, which feels like a true hidden gem when staying at this hotel. Equipped with its own bar, lounge beds, and music, the Sky Lounge offers the very best views of San Jose del Cabos beachfront, and is without a doubt where I spent most of my time!

The Cape A Thompson Hotel
Sucker for a view? Rooms at The Cape, the first Mexico hotel for the Thompson brand, look straight across the Sea of Cortez to the peninsula’s famous Arch. Arriving At The Airport
The Los Cabos area is serviced by Los Cabos International Airport which is about 30 miles northeast of Cabo San Lucas and closer to San Jose de Cabo. The airport has two terminals. Terminal 1 is for domestic flights in Mexico and flights to Central and South America. Terminal 2 is for international flights to the US and Canada.
After going through immigration and getting your bags, youll pass through customs, which is a little different from what you might be used to. If you have anything you are bringing into the country to declare, you do it here. Everyone is asked to to push a button. If it lights up green, you are good to go but red means youve been selected for them to search your bags.
After exiting customs, theres one more room. This is the timeshare room. Be warned, you will be made to feel that its necessary to stop and schedule a tour or a taxi or something. Unless youre interested in timeshares, just pass through the room and exit the airport.
