Some airlines that fly from the U.S to Canada, such as Air Canada, allow their passengers to travel with a dog or cat in the cabin, as long as:
- The animal weighs 10 kg or less .
- It is in a cage with the following maximum measurements : 23 cm high, 40 cm wide and 55 cm long.
- Alternatively, it can travel in a bag with the following dimensions : 27 cm in height, 40 cm in width and 55 cm in length.
- Be at least 3 months old .
- The pet must remain in its closed carrier cage under its seat.
- The traveler must arrive at the airport an additional 30 minutes before their flight check-in time, and they cannot check-in online or at the airport self-service terminals.
The cost of flying your pet from the U.S to Canada in the cabin is between $100 and $125 Canadian dollars depending on the itinerary.
In other situations, it is mandatory for the pet to travel in the trunk, such as:
- The traveler is a minor traveling without an adult.
- Your seat is in the exit or window row.
- The traveler needs to use a medical device that must be stored under the seat during the flight.
If your pet has to be transported in the trunk, it will go within the same flight, with the following conditions:
- Maximum weight up to 32 kg.
- Appropriate cage with 292 linear cm .

Louisville is a strange city – it seems very empty and boring at a first glance, but it is full of hidden gems. The Slugger museum is an absolute must, even for those who hate baseball . It is very interesting and informative and you get to see how the bats are made and that is very interesting. There are other museums definitely worth visiting, including the KY Derby museum. The riverfront with the bridges is breathtaking – I really recommend a stroll there. Also, the ghost tours are a lot of fun – especially if you are traveling with younger children But my true passion when I travel is discovering local breweries – and Louisville has many! My number one is Falls City Brewery with their great selection of beer and an outdoor seating. They do not serve food, but Bandido Taqueria is right next to them and they will bring your order to your table in the beer garden. And the tacos are great!Gravely Brewery is about 10 minute walk from the Falls City Beer and they have an amazing terrace with the views of the city. And my other favourite is Great Flood Brewery – try their Brut IPA, you will not be disappointed!

Best Place To Stay To Do The Kentucky Bourbon Trail
We will be heading that way this summer. Are we better off staying somewhere on the trail, or staying in Louiville and driving from there. Any suggestions welcome. Price not really a factor. We are planning to be there for two nights.
Of the six distilleries on the bourbon trail, three are within 40 minutes of Lexington and the other three are closer to Louisville: . It really depends on what you would like to do after youre finished touring for the day. .
I would really like to get to Makers Mark, and Woodford, and whatever else inbetween makes sense. From looking at the map, it seems that lexington is the closest, but I dont know how much to scale the map is.

How Does A Distillery Get Featured On The Official Bourbon Trail
Its not entirely clear how distilleries are selected to be featured on the bourbon trail. What is clear is that a distillery has to meet the following criteria.
- Be a member of the Kentucky Distillers Association .
- Follow the Code of Responsible Practices for Beverage Alcohol Advertising and Marketing, set forth by the Distilled Spirits Council.
- Abide by all applicable KDA by-laws, federal, state, and local laws and ordinances, and pay annual dues.
You probably already know that there are more than 18 distilleries in Kentucky. Currently, there are close to 100. For a distillery to be considered a part of the bourbon trail, they have to be recognized as a Kentucky Distillers Association member. The KDA is a non-profit association established in 1953 to ensure that its members followed the best distilling practices.
Today, to be a Heritage Level member of the KDA, a distillery must keep an inventory of at least 25,000 barrels at all times. A distillery must also pay dues of a one-time initiation fee of $65,000 and a quarterly payment of 10 cents per barrel.
Overall, 37 members of the Kentucky Distillers Association operate one or more distilleries in Kentucky. Of these members, not all Heritage Level members are on the trail, with Willett distillery recently leveling up to Heritage, yet still being featured on the Craft Distillery Tour. Also, some Proof Level and Craft Level are featured on the trail.

Have a GPS to get around. Downtown is very confusing. I used to live in Louisville and I don’t mind visiting. Went to the Speed Art Museum and it was good. Went to a concert at the Yum center it was good as well especially when we went to leave. Parked underground in the parking garage and didn’t have to wait long to get out. The staff had an excellent system of getting people out and keeping the traffic moving.

One downside of staying in Old Louisville, though, is that unlike some of the other neighborhoods on our list, there is no central stretch of businesses to stroll through the area is firmly residential, so you probably wont be within walking distance to much.
That said, there are a few gems tucked in the neighborhood, like Bucks Restaurant, Old Louisville Brewery, and Mag Bar. Youll also be less than a mile away from the Speed Art Museum and Churchill Downs. You can take historical walking tours and a sightseeing tour in a tuk-tuk here as well, and the bustling campus of the University of Louisville is adjacent to the neighborhood.
Oh, and the neighborhood is said to be super haunted. We consider that a plus, personally.
