Miami Beach Hotels For Families That Promise Plenty Of Sandy Fun
Im sitting in the shade of a cabana, sipping on a mojito while gazing out at a tranquil blue pool. My toddler sits across from me, happily picking at a tropical fruit tray while recovering from a morning of swimming, his blonde hair drying in the Florida sun. A pair of green parakeets fly overhead, squawking loudly, and the roar of the ocean is just audible over a duo playing acoustic cover tunes beside the pool bar.
I cant remember the last time Ive felt so relaxed, and I cant believe its happening while my energetic toddler is within arms length. This is Miami Beach, and it seems to have cast a spell over my young family.

More Tips For Visiting Miami With Kids
Take in the Sights
Like we mentioned above, Miami is known for its Art Deco buildings and architecture. Point out historical buildings to tadpoles and let them take it all in! Pause for photographs and if you pass by an ice cream cart, stop for an ice cream. Chances are they’ll see a mural or sculpture they think is pretty interesting be flexible enough you can stop and explore it!
Speaking of flexibility, have a backup plan in case you do encounter a Florida rain shower. If it does start to rain, know what else is nearby to explore indoors, such as a museum. The afternoon doesn’t have to go sour because of a rain shower.
Be Prepared for Plenty of Outdoor Time
Most of the activities you’ll want to experience when visiting Miami with kids will include the outdoors. Know the weather, be prepared and pack appropriately. We cannot stress this enough don’t forget the sunscreen! Pack hats, sunglasses and leave your hotel room with a bottle of water in case someone gets thirsty. If you’re spending the day at the beach, bring a small cooler full of snacks and water or know where the nearest snack bar/restaurant is.
Dining Options For The Family
Head over to 1654 Meridian Avenue to enjoy the Cuban cuisine at Davids Two Café. They offer a very good menu, and the prices are affordable. Among their signature dishes is the Arroz Con Pollo, a Cuban cuisine that serves yellow rice with chicken in a huge portion enough to pass around. Another good choice is the Bistec Empanizado, and this is popular among children, a steak which had been sliced thin and breaded, served alongside rice with black beans. Definitely a must-try for the parents is their Café Cubano, a super-strong espresso that would re-ignite that energy for a continued walk.
When you bring your family on a vacation at Miami Beach, you should be on a budget as the headcount is higher and it is easy to overspend. However, it does not pose a problem to dine with a budget. For a good and affordable breakfast, head over to 516 Espanola at Espanola Way and enjoy the French pastries at A la Folie Café.
If you and your kids love pizzas, Hosteria Romana is located just nearby at 429 Espanola.
The waiters here are very sporting and they do their best to entertain guests while taking orders. For hearty sandwiches intended for beach picnics, La Sanwicherie at 229 14th Street east of Espanola. Their fresh-baked croissant, known as baguette is very delicious, especially if you add on sliced meats and salads with sauces. Their juice bar offers healthier drinks like vegetables and fruits smoothie.

Miami Beach is a small barrier island with a very long beach, I may add a lovely and dreamy one, with art-deco buildings and palm trees everywhere. More of a resort town than an actual city.
