Delnor Wiggins State Park

11135 Gulfshore Drive, Naples, FL

Theres a reason Delnor Wiggins State Park is consistently rated one of Naples best beaches. Its one of the most natural stretches of dunes and protected beaches in Collier County. Visitors have several beaches to choose from as you drive in. Walking paths wind their way through secluded dunes, and there are several picnic areas with tables throughout.

Theres even a small watchtower to climb for a beautiful view over the north end of the Park.

Of all the beaches in Naples, Delnor-Wiggins is probably the most similar to the beaches on Sanibel Island the rustic beaches with seagrapes and sea oats growing wild in the soft dunes. Its definitely a nature-lovers beach!

Fishing is only allowed at the northernmost beach, and swimmers should respect any anglers rods out means there are lures in the water, and whatevers chasing them is not far behind! Be sure and look for the resident gopher tortoises slowly walking through the scrub but dont get too close. Give them room to move around because this is their home.

FEE: $8 per car State Park entrance fee.

Why Is Clam Pass Closed

The planned temporary closing to replace the Clam Pass Park Boardwalk, located at 465 Seagate Drive, has been postponed due to a material shortage associated with the construction project and is now scheduled to begin after Labor Day weekend on Tuesday, September 8 with an anticipated reopening in early November.

Where Should I Stay In Naples Florida

Top 3 Neighborhoods on Naples BEACH FL

This is a great question and definitely depends on what you want to do and of course, your budget.

What constitutes Naples is a large geographic area with Bonita Springs/North Naples in the north, heading down to South Naples and . Most visitors opt to stay on the beach or in one of the large chain hotels along Route 41.

Just to note Route 41 is the main North/South drag where you will find many restaurants, shops, grocery stores and hotels. From a Route 41 hotel, you will have about a 5-10 minute drive to the beach.

If you stay along Interstate 75, you are further east, but further from the beach. From the Interstate you are a 15-20 minute ride to the beach. BUT being along the highway gives you access to go North , South to Everglades City, or to head East to Miami, Ft Lauderdale or the Florida Keys.

In all honesty, the best resorts in Naples are along the beach! If you can work a beachfront stay into your budget, you wont be disappointed!
