Where To Buy Walt Disney World Tickets
The best and cheapest solution where to buy Walt Disney World tickets is online.
Tickets can be purchased on the official Disney World website, thus avoiding the queues to purchase tickets at the park entrance.
Or to avoid the queues and also to save on costs, there are numerous online sites that allow you to buy the entrance ticket at a lower price. Among the main sites that offer special packages and discounts, we find GetYourGuide.
Disneys Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
The Grand Floridian is probably the most traditional high-end hotel at Disney World.
You wont find a ton of character themes, but you will find some of the most upscale amenities, including a spa and the fanciest restaurant at Disney. Its one of Disney Worlds most expensive resorts, thanks to its proximity to Magic Kingdom and amenities, with rates often starting at $500 per night or more, even for standard rooms, with rates going above $700 for pretty standard rooms at peak times.
In addition to the monorail stop, there are water taxis that take you across Bay Lake to the park entrance. And, newly added is a walking path to the Magic Kingdom, so you dont need to rely on any transportation at all. In short, getting to and from Magic Kingdom isnt a problem from the Grand Floridian.
Dining is another highlight here. While it hasnt reopened yet, Victoria & Alberts is the finest dining you can find at Disney World. A true five-star experience with a dress code and no kids under 10, guests can choose between the dining room, a private chefs table or Queen Victorias Room for a truly special occasion. With everything from caviar to fine wines, be prepared for a big bill.
1900 Park Fare is also excellent and a bit easier on the budget. The redesigned Enchanted Rose bar on the second level of the Grand Floridians lobby, inspired by Beauty and the Beast, is a upscale place to sip your evening cocktail.

Best Disney Value Resorts
Value resorts can be wait for it a way to get exceptional value with Disney resort perks, close proximity to the parks and the free Magical Express Bus to and from Orlando International Airport until the end of 2021. They can also be a big disappointment.
Your mileage will vary, but if youre on a serious budget for your Disney World vacation, they should be a consideration. Prices start a little over $100 per night and go up to nearly $300 per night on peak dates. But, for most of the year, rooms typically sell for under $200 per night.
Criteria For Picking Among Disney Resorts
This site selects from among the 25 or so possible Walt Disney World resort hotels based on two criteria:
Kid appeal is principally visual, and it means whether the look of a resort has features that speak to kids of whimsy, playfulness, and adventure, signaling that that this resort was designed for them!
The resorts with kid appeal are, in order
None of the other resorts has enduring, whimsical kid appeal. See this for more on kid appeal.
These resorts noted above with kid appeal break into two categories.
- The first 3 are classified by Walt Disney World as Deluxe resorts, and
- The rest are classified by Disney as Value resorts
Because the price difference between these categories is so high, separate hotels are recommended within each of the two categories.
Within the kid-appealing Walt Disney World resorts, the tie breaker is transportation convenience, particularly to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot theme parks, as you will be making more trips to these parks than any others.
Of the three kid-appealing deluxe resorts, the Polynesian is far and away the most convenient.

Disneys Animal Kingdom Lodge
The Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge is unlike any resort experience in the US. With select hotel rooms facing a savanna filled with animals, guests get to experience an animal kingdom. The resort also boasts two favorite restaurants at Disney World: Boma and Jiko.
Hotel rooms come with a king bed and twin sized sleeper sofa, two queen beds, or a queen with bunk beds. The premium rooms face the savanna while other rooms face the pool area or parking areas. The club lounge, the Kilimanjaro Club, is on the top floor of the Jambo House, overlooking the multi-story lobby.
An extra perk of the Animal Kingdom Lodge is the packed calendar of daily activities educating guests on African culture, daily cookie and cake decorating, and adult wine tastings.
There are Disney Vacation Club Villas at the Jambo House building or at the Kidani Village building across the savannah. The Kidani Village has its own pool area and the popular Sanaa restaurant with views of zebra and giraffe from the windows.
This is one of the best Disney World hotels for its unique immersive experience unlike any other.

Disneys Yacht And Beach Clubs
Disneys Yacht and Beach Club are popular for its shared pool complex, Stormalong Bay, and walkable distance to Epcots back door. Both are modeled after traditional beach resorts of New England and have lovely, formal lobbies.
Guests can walk easily to Epcot or take a water shuttle to Hollywood Studios. Stormalong Bay has a super fun pirate ship waterslide and a sand bottom pool that make it a great resort choice during warm months for swimming. The most sought-after reservation on property is the small Beaches N Cream old fashioned ice cream parlor, but there is a take our window for those seeking the famous Minnie kitchen sink sundae.
Guests with kids tend to prefer the Beach Club, while guests traveling without kids often favor the Yacht Club, which also has a large convention center attached. The Beach Club offers DVC units, while the Yacht Club does not.

Wyndham Grand Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort
This off-site Disney hotel is pretty much your most middle of the road choice, as it is pretty on point with how much you should expect it to cost, including its amenities and location. Though it doesnt have the complete wow factor that the others have, their rooms are still very nice and include Wifi, a spa, outdoor pools and a lazy river, and on-site dining.
Wyndham Grand Orlando Bonnet Creek normally does offer shuttle service to and from the Disney Parks/Disney Springs, however, their website says these services are temporarily unavailable for August and September 2020. Please keep this in mind as you book your trip!!

Gran Destino Tower At Disneys Coronado Springs Resort
Disneys Coronado Springs was the definition of Moderate: an older resort with two-story buildings spread over a large property. The rooms are small, though theyve recently been renovated. The main pool has an Aztec them and a little waterslide.
Coronado Springs is one of the few remaining Moderate resorts where the only complimentary transportation to the parks is the bus network and walking isnt an option, given its distance to the parks. Its a resort geared toward the convention crowd, with large restaurants focused on quick service. But, a funny thing changed recently that landed it on this best Disney resort hotels list.
Disney World built a new tower at Coronado Springs called the Gran Destino. This hotel within a hotel has a stunning lobby and an equally snazzy lobby bar. If youre looking for a completely different perspective, let an elevator whisk you up to the 16th floor, where the rooftop Dahlia Lounge awaits along with an award-winning wine list.
Gran Destino also has the distinction of being the only Moderate resort at Disney World with a club lounge option. That amenity is still closed for now, but when it opens, its a great way to make a moderate stay feel deluxe.
The Spanish themes of the resort are evident here, with sumptuous Serrano ham and Spanish cavas. But dont worry, youll find plenty of games and books to entertain the kids while you enjoy the lounge.

Best Disney World Resort Pools
If you just want to know which Disney resort hotels have the best pools, there are two clear winners for the best pools at Disney World.
Disneys Beach and Yacht Club Resorts offer five-star poolside fun.
These sister properties have the distinct feel of a beach in an otherwise landlocked resort, as this is where you will find sand-bottomed pools with a lazy river, pirate ship and a wicked waterslide that will keep young swimmers entertained.
For younger kids, the winner might be the Art of Animation, which also has the largest, more traditional pool, known as the Big Blue Pool. It has a zero-entry area and also a separate water play space for smaller children. Theres no waterslide, but the resort also has two other pools, the Cozy Cones pool and Flippin Fins pool.
An honorable mention goes to the Lava Pool at Polynesian Village, which has a volcano waterslide in the middle, along with a separate toddler slide area. Getting a poolside view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks and easily accessible Dole Whip doesnt hurt either.

Walt Disney World Swan And Dolphin Resorts
Like a few other properties on this list, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts aren’t Disney-owned properties, but their close proximity to the parks and on-site Disney resort benefits make them worth checking out. Plus, Marriott Bonvoy members will be happy to know that they can earn points here because these are Marriott-managed hotels. Guests can enjoy perks like early entry and extended hours at Disney parks and complimentary transportation . The hotels offer a range of suites and guest rooms, six pools, and 18 restaurants and lounges. Plus, the brand-new Walt Disney World Swan Reserve opens in fall 2021.
Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort
I know I have listed some exotic and super luxurious resorts so far, but Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort has to be blindingly underrated of them all.
Located within the borders of Walt Disney World Resort, nestled on a quiet nature preserve, it offers key Disney resort perks. Its one of the best places to stay in Orlando for Disney without the Disney pricetag!
The multi-story resort is a cluster of 1001 elegantly-designed accommodations with ample facilities to call it ultra-luxurious.
Its highest points include a notable lobby that recites the story of Bonnet Sisters with motifs, free-form pool with lazy river, 12 restaurants and 2 poolside bars, the full service spa and adapted rooms for guests with disabilities.
You can also view Hollywood Studios fireworks from the resort in certain rooms.
Is Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort for you?
If you are a solo traveler, working traveler, or a couple looking for a convenient and quiet spot in the heart of the theme park, then this resort is best for you. The only downside is the daily resort fee here.
The location is superb and one of the reasons it has made this list.
Book your room here.

Recommended Area: Around Walt Disney World Resort
Celebration is a lively area originally designed by the Walt Disney Company and its located 17 miles southwest of Downtown Orlando.
Although technically Celebration is not in the city per se, it is considered the absolute best area to stay in Orlando thanks to it being home to the citys top attraction: the Walt Disney World Resort.
Also known by the names Walt Disney World and Disney World, this urban complex and tourist attraction opened in 1971 and its basically a city within a city.
Since its inauguration, Disney World has grown to include four different theme parks , two water parks, 27 themed resorts, 9 independent hotels, numerous golf courses, a camping resort, and other leisure installations, including Disney Springs open-air mall.
To make things more magical during your stay, frequent events, parades, festivals, and nightly firework shows are held in the parks.
This area is great for families, and even better if youre traveling by car, especially if you wish to visit other theme parks in Orlando.
That said, most chain hotels in the immediate area of the park either belong to Disney World or offer transfer services to the complex and beyond and taxis are widely available.
Why is this a recommended area to stay in Orlando, Florida:
- Best location in Orlando
- Best area to stay for families

How To Decide Your Vacation Length
Several factors go into determining your vacationâs length.
Your budget, available vacation days , and general ideas for your visit will all play a part.
One of the questions I get asked the most is whether someone can do everything at a Universal Orlando Resort park in a single day.
The answer is yes in a general sense, but you may miss some stuff. Crowds prove impossible to predict, even during the offseason.
Also, you never know when a ride may need maintenance that takes it offline for the day.
So, what I usually suggest is a three-night stay at Universal Studios. Two nights is the bare minimum, but that strategy comes with risks.
During a two-day trip, you may feel too rushed to savor all the glorious elements of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress
This hotel near Disney World is one of the best due to its elegant decor and outstanding service. This family-friendly resort is like its own tropical beach vacation right in Orlando, Florida.
The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress offers a lagoon-style pool, a tennis court, a private lake, and a Jack Nicklaus designed golf course.
They promote water sports at their private lake in addition to offering one, three, and five-mile nature trails where you can walk/jog, bike ride, or rock climb. They also have a poolside restaurant, On the Rocks, where you can get dinner and specialty drinks.

Sleeping At Walt Disney World
If you want to visit the Disney parks, you will certainly need a hotel in the area. But which one to choose? Is it better to sleep in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel or better outside?
The hotels of the Walt Disney World Resort are the best solution for those who want to live a complete experience linked to the world of Disney. Children will be amazed to stay in these fully themed hotels.
The cost is higher than the external hotels, but it allows you to easily get to the park with the Disney shuttles, indeed very often those who stay in the hotels in the park can access an hour earlier, compared to the normal opening.
If you want to save money, the Orlando and Kissimmee resorts offer thousands of hotels to suit all tastes and budgets. Most of them offer free shuttle bus service to Disney parks and other area amusement parks.
