Perfect Start To Our Honeymoon

We stayed in this hotel for the first night of our honeymoon in Europe and our only regret was that we couldnt stay longer! On arrival, after taking the euro star and two jam-packed metros, we were relieved of our luggage and taken to the lobby area for a complimentary drink of our choice. This allowed us to catch our breath and we were taken to our room the Moulin Rouge! When we mentioned that it was our honeymoon within 10 minutes celebratory champagne was sent to the room! The staff could not be any more accommodating and also gave us two cold bottles of water for the next leg of our journey the following day! By Paris standards the room we had was very spacious and of a very high standard. Will definitely stay here again to try one of the other signature rooms and highly recommend it!Neil C Stayed July 2015, travelled as a couple

Hop On/hop Off Tours Arent Needed In Parisopt For The Metro Instead

There are some cities that are so sprawling that a Hop On/Hop Off bus tour can make sensebut Paris isnt one of them.

Paris traffic is notoriously terrible and its metro system is one of the densest and most efficient in the world. Youll save time, money, and headache by skipping the tour bus on your Paris honeymoon and opting to use the metro instead.

In the 2nd district, in the middle of the town, there you will find the 123 Sébastopol Astotel! Its central location will allow you to go for a walk on the Seine River banks. You can pick one from among the various shops, restaurants, and cafés of the area to spend some time as a couple. The hotel is juxtaposed to the prestigious Pompidou Centre.

The 123 Sébastopol Astotel revolves around cinema, also known as the 7th art. Every floor of the building is dedicated to an actor or a moviemaker. Movie posters and filmmakers portraits hang on the walls the aficionados will be enchanted! Every morning, you will savor a full and varied buffet breakfast under the big canopy, or even inside your bed if you desire!

The first floor was inspired by legendary movie composer Ennio Morricone. The setting is monochromatic and recalls a piano keyboard on the other hand, the wallpaper is reminiscent of a musical score. But this is not the highlight of the show: the bedpost comprises headphones so that you can listen to the Western movie masters concerts. And so it goes: if you climb up the stairs until the last floor, youll enter a room created as a tribute for French actor Jean-Paul Belmondo. The bed is covered in red velvet pillows embroidered with Cannes film festival Palme dOr.

What we like: the bar serves cocktails based on the greatest movies of all time.

What we love: the references to the Seventh Art.

Hotel Caron De Beaumarchais

Hotel Suite of the Week: Honeymoon Suite at Le Bristol Paris Photos ...

I know everyone isnt on the same budget so I am going to include one adorable boutique hotel that would be a great option. I have stayed at Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais and loved it. It is right in the heart of the Marais and a perfect location. I have recommended this hotel to so many people over the years and everyone has come back with rave reviews. I highly recommend booking a balcony room with an exterior facing room. They have a courtyard option which is more quiet. Order the breakfast, it is one of the best values in the city. It is 12 euros and you can have it delivered to your room and there is enough for two people.

Where To Stay In Paris

Hi, it’s our wedding anniversary at the end of April and we are looking to spend 6 days in Paris. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a great hotel in a fantastic location? Any price range welcome as I’m yet to look at cost 🙂

Also should we do a day trip/overnight stay in another region? We’re flying from Australia so really want to make the most of our 6 days. Thanks 🙂

There are so many great areas and places to stay in Paris, that my only suggestion would be to pick a spot that is close to public transit, like a Metro station for instance…..the Gare Montparnasse, in the Montparnasse area of Paris, is both a Train station and a Metro station, so that’s very handy if you wanted to take a train out of the City for a day trip…….a great day trip is a visit to the Place of Versailles, and it’s a short train ride out of Paris…lots of walking involved, but a great history lesson and beautiful place to see…..make sure you visit Sacre Coeur in the Montmartre section of Paris…it’s built on the highest section of Paris, so the city views are great and the Basilica is lovely….. …you should also post this question on the Paris forum here on TA, so that you can get advice from the Paris Destination Experts and locals/forum regulars who know the city in and out………if you click on the blue link contained within this post, you can transfer to the TA Travel page for Paris, and then access the forum too…………..
