Where To Stay In Paris For 3 Nights

3-4 nights is the optimum amount of time to stay in Paris to explore the city. And if you can afford it, Id totally recommend staying in the 1st or 2nd arrondissements. However, you have to keep in mind that the accommodation is a bit pricey, as these are the two most central areas.

Thus, for more affordable, but still, a central location, close to the tourist sights, take a look at the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th arrondissements. These areas are situated right next to the Seine River, at walking distance to most of the tourist attractions. Yet, to visit some of the sights youll have to use the metro, but this is inevitable in such a huge city.

A beautiful photo of the Eiffel Tower, in Paris

Canal St. Martin is a bohemian neighborhood in the 10th arrondissement that seems to have suddenly transformed from a hidden treasure to a trendy hotspot, a darling of hipsters in Paris. Its home to some of the top restaurants in the city, with a wealth of cafes, bars and intriguing shops lining the streets, making it one of our favorites when it comes to cool neighborhoods in Paris.

You can do everything from pick up fresh-baked bread for a picnic at canal-side to dining and people watching at the lively quayside spot with outdoor seating offered by Chez Prune.

If youve ever seen the classic French film Amelie, you might recall Amelie skipping stones from an iron bridge overlooking the canal that links Canal de lOurcq to the River Seine. Just like her, Parisians enjoy relaxing along its tree-lined banks.

Youll frequently see picnickers along with fishermen, philosophers and poets its a place to see and be seen, particularly popular among the under-30 crowd.

While it may be filled with pedestrians and strollers, it manages to retain a wonderful sense of calm. This is the alternative destination to the Seine, the place where Parisians in the know come to hangout, and for visitors, its the perfect place to get more of a sense of the real Paris.

The best places to stay in Paris are based on what someone ...

I am always looking for somewhere new and interesting to stay when I travel to Paris. It is great research and it puts me in different parts of the city. I have my eye on hotels that are opening or being remodeled as well as hidden gems. I came up with this idea to put together a list of hotels in Paris with Eiffel Tower views. The list took a while to put together and has been sitting on my desk for months. It grows a little at a time as I research and read about Paris. I intended on 10 hotels in Paris that grew to almost 30. I cut it down for this post so it wasnt too much.

During my couple trips to Paris, all I wanted was a balcony and an Eiffel Tower view. It still gets me after 20 trips later, I will never complain for a view of the Eiffel Tower especially at night to see it sparkle. This list is a resource for anyone planning a trip to Paris and is looking for a hotel with an Eiffel Tower view. I wanted to give options on prices as I know everyone has different budgets. I have a few bucket list hotels on this list too. A girl can dream, right? If I missed a hotel, please feel free to mention it in the comments below.

Look For The Eiffel Towers Chimney

Before leaving the Eiffel Tower, look for the Eiffel Towers chimney, hidden in the garden, for a quirky picture. Few visitors notice this chimney near the west pillar of the Eiffel Tower. Nestled among the vegetation, it is invisible in summer, so it is a kind of treasure hunt!

The Eiffel Tower chimney dates from the time when the tower was built in 1887. A pipe linked it to the old machine room managing the elevators, located under the south pillar. It was then used to evacuate the smoke produced by the energy required to supply the elevators.
