Where To Eat In Narrangansett
Monahan’s Clam Shack is the quintessential New England seafood spot, offering fried platters, lobster rolls and nightly specials like fish tacos. The outdoor deck has picnic tables overlooking the water, and there are games like Jenga and corn hole in the backyard. For dessert, the beloved Brickley’s Ice Cream nearby has a dizzying array of flavors like cake batter, ginger and malted milk ball, as well as a handful of no-sugar-added options. Allie’s Donuts is a local institution: Although the main shop is in North Kingstown, you can often find the fresh, flavorful treats at Narrangansett farm stands or food trucks .

Shop At The Many Boutiques
There is a surprising amount of shopping options in Newport! Bellevue Ave, Thames Street, and Broadway Street are filled with boutiques and New-England inspired retail.
My favorite stores for picking up unique gifts or nautical souvenirs are along Bowens and Bannisters Wharves.
Newport residents are spoiled with soft, sandy white beaches.
The most popular are along Memorial Boulevard and aptly nicknamed First, Second, and Third Beach.
First Beach has more amenities and is within walking distance to the Cliff Walk and restaurants, including the hotspot Flos. Technically Second and Third Beach are in Middletown but most consider it Newport.
As an alternative, Gooseberry Beach is on the other side of town and less touristy. Going to this beach is also the perfect opportunity to explore scenic Ocean Drive. I recommend a bike ride route along Ocean Ave, through kite-flying Brenton Point State Park and out to Castle Hill.
On the return ride, take Harrison Ave to see the Newport Country Club golf course and peaceful farmlands, including Hammersmith Farm where Jackie Os family resided.
Lincoln Woods State Park
Lincoln Woods State Park is nestled between routes 146 and 123 in Blackstone Valley a short drive from Pawtucket, Providence, and Cumberland. A popular escape for Rhode Islanders, visitors to the park enjoy swimming, trout fishing, hiking, jogging, and horseback riding. A lifeguard is on duty seasonally from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The REI Boathouse offers kayak and SUP rentals, along with classes. Permits are required for use of picnic areas and baseball fields. Picnic shelters, gazebos, bathhouses, a first aid station, and a food shack are located on the grounds. Lincoln Woods is one of only three Rhode Island State Park locations tested for safe ice during the winter months.

The New England Wireless And Steam Museum
In 1875 Rhode Island was the world center of the stationary steam industry. The New England Wireless & Steam Museum is dedicated to electrical and mechanical engineering, showcasing the beginnings of radio and steam power. The countrys finest collection of Rhode Island made engines are housed here. The museum also preserves the original Massie wireless station, built in 1907 for communication with marine shipping. As the oldest surviving wireless station anywhere in the world, it symbolizes the very start of the electronics industry as its known today. Many of the collections early radio and steam apparatuses are in working order, which affords visitors the opportunity to observe live demonstrations.

International Travel During Covid
Do not travel internationally until you are fully vaccinated. If you are not fully vaccinated and must travel, follow CDCs international travel recommendations for people who are not fully vaccinated.
Fully vaccinated travelers are less likely to get and spread COVID-19. However, international travel poses additional risks, and even fully vaccinated travelers might be at increased risk for getting and possibly spreading some COVID-19 variants.
The COVID-19 situation, including the spread of new or concerning variants, differs from country to country. All travelers need to pay close attention to the conditions at their destination before traveling.
CDC will update these recommendations as more people get vaccinated, as rates of COVID-19 change, and as additional scientific evidence becomes available.

Tips For Rhode Island Visitors
Where To Go In Narrangansett
With a pair of turrets facing the sea and a porte-cochère that stretches across Ocean Road, the granite, castle-like structure known as The Towers is the sole remnant of the Stanford Whitedesigned Narragansett Pier Casino, which was mostly destroyed by fire in 1900. Today, the impressive building hosts special events, but is also open for tours and houses the town’s visitors’ center, making it a worthwhile first stop. From Galilee, a quaint fishing village, you can catch the 30-minute high-speed ferry from Point Judith terminal for a day trip to sleepy Block Island, which is just 13 miles south of the mainland but feels like another world. Since the island is just 10 square miles, you’re never far from a beach and it’s easy to explore by bike or on foot.

Which Is The Best Town To Stay In Rhodes
Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese Islands and is a place where lovers of ancient history and modern beach holidays come together for warm holidays in the sun. Culture seekers will enjoy spending time in Rhodes old town, where they can explore ancient Minoan and Neolithic history and thrill seekers can head to party towns, such as Faliraki. Although much of Rhodes has been developed to cater for the tourist industry, there are unspoilt towns across the island which are slowly developing into quiet resorts. Both Kiotari and Pefkos are quiet resorts that are ideal for couples that do not like crowds or that are wanting to enjoy a romantic holiday.
Rhodes beauty is summed up by a visit to the lovely town of Lindos: a town that is home to sprawling golden sands and inviting turquoise seas. You will find traditional Greek tavernas in all resorts, serving up Pitaroudia, a chickpea fritter that is the islands signature dish. Rhodes is also home to some of the best wine producers in Greece and tourists definitely enjoy a glass or two during candle-lit dinners near the sea.
