Stowe is one of those quintessential towns you see in New England. For a Southerner, it feels like youre walking around a movie set because, I feel like our small towns dont look anything like these. Theres a general store and lots of restaurants that you can tell have been a part of Stowe for generations. I absolutely love that! We stopped at Butlers Pantry for breakfast one morning and took in all of the towns charm and the cool fall air. It was heavenly!
Stowe Vermont Hotels: Hollow Inn And Motel
The Hollow Inn and Motel is recently renovated and prides itself on offering clean, comfortable, and reasonably-priced accommodations with hospitable service. Every single room includes a 32-inch flat-screen TV, a fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, a hair dryer, an iron, an ironing board, and a new air conditioner and heater unit. All of the rooms also feature modern furniture, whether in the inn or motel. Rooms also have wireless high-speed internet access. Extended stays are also available. The property has a hot tub perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. There is also an expansive courtyard for getting in some sunshine and an outdoor pool for swimming. On to the lodging
Indoors: There are plenty of lodging choices in and around Stowe but consider the Green Mountain Inn. Its right in the center of town and you can gorge on the turkey dinner at The Whip after that crazy day outside.
Outdoors: Just a 20 minute drive past downtown Stowe, you will find Elmore State Park. We hesitate to recommend it because you may end up spending your whole time at the park! Great camp sites, a lake with swimming, boat rentals and fishing, and even a short hike up Elmore Mountain to the fire tower are just some of the options if you make your base here. Its a guaranteed great time.

Stowe Is A Beautiful Place With A Lot To Offer
Stowe is a beautiful place with a lot to offer. There are plenty of restaurants, galleries and outdoor activities available. During our stay, we were fortunate to catch an outdoor concert on Main Street.We found a wonderful coffee shop, also on Main Street. They catered to those of us who drink tea too, using quality tea bags and actually boiling the water.In addition to Main Street, the Mountain Road is also a great place for restaurants – all price ranges and cuisines. Because of the appropriately cautious reopening of businesses andin particular, restaurants, there were some restaurants we couldn’t get into. We’re looking forward to a return visit to explore more!

Earlier this month, we scooted up north for a little visit to Stowe, Vermonta charming mountain-side town brimming with stunning scenery, historic New England charm, and so much to do in every season!
And we stayed at the sweetest place ever
Just a 3-hour drive from Portsmouth, Stowe feels like its worlds away. As we drove along Stowes Mountain Road, we took a right that led us up a hill to our sweet home away from home for the next two nightsEdson Hill.
From the natural beauty of the property, to the perfectly-manicured gardens, the shimmering light on the pond, and horse stables that welcomed us upon arrival, we knew we were going to settle in just fine
We neared our destination and were welcomed by the quaint manor house, sweet cottages, and outdoor patios sprinkled with ivory umbrellas and tea lights. Adirondack chairs gazed out at the swimming pond, and we spotted a few leaves starting to change as we watched the sun set over the mountains in the distance
Edson Hill is truly a retreat. With only 22 rooms on property and a relaxing atmosphere throughout, it sometimes felt like we were enjoying a quiet getaway in our own country escape.
Each room at Edson Hill is unique and one-of-a-kind. We stayed in the Be Positive room, which included a deep soaking tub. Vermont isnt just well-known for its lovely mountains and skiing. It is also famous for its maple syrup! So while youre there, why not visit a sugar shack?
If youre lucky enough to visit in the spring, you can see people out and about collecting sap. However, you can always pop in and learn more about sugaring and purchase maple syrup products year-round.
