The room we booked turned out to be one entire level of a town home. Two big bedrooms, two full bathrooms, one with a jacuzzi tub, a living room with a fireplace, a dining area, and a full kitchen, and also a nice deck. Three televisions. Plenty of parking, in a quiet, wooded setting. There were lots of sidewalks, benches, picnic tables and grills. We didnt use the pools but they looked nice. The property has a gate with security personnel at night. Many guests could be seen walking their dogs. Very clean and well maintained. Friendly, helpful staff. Ive never given a hotel a 10 rating before but here it is, its a 10.

We did end up venturing out beyond the resorts pools and fun because, come on, its Williamsburg! Theres tons of history to be experienced!Ok, I cant lie, I wasnt totally sure about how heading out with my three kids and mom would go. While our family loves going on outdoor adventures together, between wrangling children who want to touch everything and get tired easily, and keeping my mom comfortable, I was a little concerned about how much walking wed have to doand how kid-friendly the sights would be.My mood lightened right away when we saw President George Washington on horseback trotting through the streets. He absolutely made my sons day by waving hello as he passed by.After that, we decided to try out the horse-drawn carriages, which were SO much fun and such a relaxing way to see the historic town of Colonial Williamsburg.
